I wanted to share my new bicycle plates and napkins. The only thing missing is bicycle napkin rings. Sur la Table used to carry the cutest bicycle napkin rings, but they no longer have them.
I found the napkins on Etsy. They have different colored bikes on them.

The glasses are cobalt blue from the Dollar store.
The white chargers are from pier 1. I found the striped tablecloth at LinenTablecloth.com
For two weeks, we are watching a neighbor's dog. She is a rescue dog named Rosie.
Her owner went on a two week getaway to her cottage. Her husband recently died and she
took some time away from their home.
Another friend has a dog named Boris. He is also a rescue dog. He just had surgery yesterday to remove a primary tumor. Prayers are need for this precious dog. The tumor was in his lung. Lung lobectomy is "routine" for the surgeons, but not for the patient
I hope you are having a good week. Take care.

Hello, welcome to LifeandLinda. I am from Northern California. I enjoy blogging, Designing Blogs, Decorating, cooking, entertaining, gardening and clogging. I hope you enjoy your visit.
Love your bicycle theme tablescape, Linda! I've had a newspaper bicycle in mind to make sometime this fall - if I ever get around to it. You're so thoughtful to take care of your neighbor's dog. Seems like she would want Rosie with her for company at the cottage. She's a very lucky pooch! And I hope Boris makes a full recovery. He's such a beautiful dog!
ReplyDeleteThank you Gail. We love fur babies and they are always welcome here. The newspaper bicycle sounds cute.
ReplyDeleteI love the bicycle theme too. The is the cutest yellow bike I have seen. The dogs are so lucky to have someone to care for them and for someone like you to help a neighbor help.
ReplyDeleteLinda, the bicycle pieces are so sweet on your table. I adore the blue and white stripped tablecloth. I have an obsession with tablecloths and I must look for this one. You are so nice to help your neighbor. I hope she is doing okay. And that sweet dog of hers is so cute. I do hope the other beautiful white dog is recovering and will be okay. Have a nice weekend. ♥
ReplyDeleteJust wrote a long response and it disappeared! :/ Will have to return...

ReplyDeleteI love the bicycle napkins plates perfect for the end of summer.. Hoping the rescue dog will be ok. Happy weekend with love Janice
ReplyDeleteLove the kicky decor. Your pictures are beautiful. Hope all goes well with the dog's surgery. My father had his lung removed in 1978 and he lived until 1994, so surgery can work a miracle.
ReplyDeleteLinda, your bicycle theme is the cutest! I've always admired all of those goodies for setting tables but haven't bought them that much. I think I need to change my ways because you always have the most amazing and inviting table settings.
ReplyDeletePrayers for those precious dogs and your sweet neighbor too.

ReplyDeleteSeveral months ago I had the lucky of walking in a Thrift store and what did I find but the bicycle napkin rings. My junking buddy was disappointed that she didn't find them first. Now I am on the look out for plates like yours!!!
Your table setting is whimsical and lovely, Linda! I love the bicycle theme. And Rosie looks like a whole lot of fun. She seems like she's smiling! I hope Boris is doing better.

ReplyDeleteI love everything about this charming table. I want to do a table with a similar theme, it may be awhile before I get it posted. Thanks to all of you that take in and care for rescue dogs. Hope they are all doing well. So nice of you to include them in your post.
ReplyDeleteLinda,
ReplyDeleteYour bicycles are adorable. They always make me think of France, flower shops, and childhood. Thank you for sharing at our very first Monday Social.

Lucky dogs to have you giving them TLC. Your table is adorable. I've never shopped for glassware at Dollar Tree, but I will now!
ReplyDeleteEverything looks so cute together. I love finding things on Etsy and now you have me wondering about those glasses from the Dollar store! Love everything! Have you ever read the Andy Carpenter series by David Rosenfelt? I think you would really like the books. He has a shelter for rescue dogs in the books...and in real life too I think! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteOh what cute pups. Sorry to hear about your friend. I hope she is having a nice get away. I love your table. So cute and fun. And Fallishly Fabulous!
