Designer Mini Pumpkins Without Painting
There's no need to paint your mini pumpkins anymore. Why not cover them with balloons. Very inexpensive and so easy to use and then discard when you want to change the color.
I am loving the damask pumpkin. You can find the damask balloons at Party City
I am using 12 inch balloons. I cut the tips of them off , so they will be easy to stretch.
Think of trying to stretch some spanx garments to stretch and get into. I start at the top of the pumpkin with the stem. I stretch the balloon over the pumpkin. You need to work with the balloon a bit to get it to stretch.
Once the balloon covers the pumpkin, I make a tiny hole where the stem is and work the opening down over the stem. If the stem is quite tall, you might need to break the stem off and then once the pumpkin is covered by the balloon, you can glue the stem back on.
There are lots of different colored balloons and patterns, so you can create some fun looks to match your decor.
I have set a Halloween table with black and white and I am using the damask pumpkins for each plate setting.
Purple balloon covered pumpkins with some glitter strips from the dollar store.
I added a blue flower clip to the pretty blue pumpkin design.
Endless possibilities. I used pink balloons for my Day Of The Dead Tablescape.
The pumpkins below, I added a few spiders and then some fall leaves.
Here's where I party!
Thanks for the tips. The pumpkins are great.
