I set another Autumn tablescape in the Breakfast room. I love using our pumpkin tureen. I also bought my one for my Mother with a matching pitcher a few years ago
Using the leaves placemats I bought at Michaels on sale. The plates are green, although they do look gold here. The flatware is also green. Green and orange go well together. Orange plaid napkins are neatly rolled up and added to the amber napkin rings.
Green goblets as well tie in with this color scheme. A fall wreath sits beneath the pretty pumpkin tureen.
I am using this lovely fall floral centerpiece as a backdrop on the dessert cart. I love the reflection of the mirror.
Here's a closeup of the pumpkin tureen, surrounded by the fall wreath.
The chairs are dressed as well with a pretty lacy chair wrap with a fall foliage arrangement.
I am sharing this delicious Carrot Butternut Squash soup I recently made.
I had some carrots on hand, along with some butternut squash. Add some fresh baked bread and you are all set. Don't forget I am using the fabulous Recipes Generator for Bloggers on Blogspot.
yield: 6 servings
Carrot Butternut Squash Soup
A thick creamy soup with carrots and butternut squash

- 8 carrots, peeled and chopped into pieces
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger spice
- 4 cloves garlic, peeled and chopped
- 6 cups vegetable stock
- 1 Tablescape olive oil
- salt and pepper for seasoning
- 12 oz peeled and chopped Butternut squash
INSTRUCTIONS:
- In a large saucepan set over medium-high heat, add the oil and saute the carrots, squash, onion, ginger, garlic for about 5 minutes. Reduce the heat to medium-low and add the vegetable broth and simmer until the carrots are tender, about 20 minutes.
