Hello everyone, I am participating in Chloe's Romantic Table for Two Blog Hop.
My husband and myself usually dine alone. We usually find ourselves sitting together at our dining table, couch and sometimes in the Breakfast room.
With Valentine's so close, I thought a romantic meal in front of the fire would be special.
Sorry the photos are not that great. I have been quite busy helping my parents.
They are both sick and as I said in the Digging it and Dishing post, I still have that persistent cough.
I am using Parchment Red by Mikasa dishware with a gold bowl. I folded the red napkin like a blooming rose. Gold flatware compliment the gold in the dishware.
There is something special about a fireplace. So romantic and cozy.
A lovely red candle and a small vase of roses complete the look. Of course, I had to use our gold goblet and gold chargers. Champagne shall be enjoyed as well. My husband and I have a tradition of having champagne every Sunday.
Thank you Chloe for hosting this fabulous Romantic Blog Hop. I look forward to seeing all of the beautiful tablescape these talented ladies have created. Please take the time to visit each and everyone. The list is below.

ReplyDeleteLinda, what an elegant table setting! I love the color scheme you chose and especially those rose-folded napkins. You must share a tutorial! The tablecloth is fabulous, china exquisite and ambiance - perfect. I'm envious of your weather that allows a dinner by the fire. We are still warm here in the south.

The red dishes are beautiful and I really like your napkins folded like a rose. One of these days I will teach myself creative ways to fold napkins...maybe! That is just lovely, Linda. So pretty and very romantic. There is just something about a fireplace with a table in front of it, isn't there? I am so sorry to hear about your mom and dad. Taking care of aging parents is never easy---the role reversal comes at a cost, I know. I am sorry that you are not feeling well either. I hope you get better soon. xo Diana

Beautiful table (I have same red & gold plates!) for you & your sweetie, Linda! Love the rose napkin! You are very lucky to still have him around to celebrate with. Valentines Day was our anniversary...now such a melancholy day. Ugh!
ReplyDeleteI will advise all my grandchildren NOT to get married or engaged on a holiday...should have their own special day.
I hope your cough goes away soon & that your parents recover quickly. I just heard about the norovirus sweeping the nation on this morning's news. Double Ugh!! Be well!!
If I had as many options for dinner as you do Linda, I would never go out! Your husband is one lucky guy to have all these beautiful dinners planned by a lovely wife!
ReplyDeleteThis is so elegant and the colors you have chosen are deep and sultry, perfect for the theme. I love your Sunday tradition and wish you and your parents a speedy recovery.
