Happy Father's Day!
My dad is not feeling well. His breathing is is corrected, however now he is suffering from stomach aches. He is having an abdominal ultrasound to see what the issue is. He told me to not worry about going over on Father's day to see him, because he would be resting and wouldn't have a happy face.
I hope you all have a wonderful day with loved ones.
Here's an old family photo. My little sister, Cynthia died in 2004, in her sleep.

This week, I posted photos from the Red hat Society Luncheon hosted at our home. It was my Mother's turn to be the hostess, so I volunteered to have it at our home.
Red Hat Luncheon At Our Home
Your host this week is...
This week, I'm sharing a tour through my garden this June! It's peony and clematis season. Come over and see what is blooming now. This is my first year ever successfully growing clematis. I had to switch to growing it in a container because garden critters kept eating the roots! I also reached out and asked other gardeners for tips and tricks this year, and that was a HUGE help.
Next week, I will be exploring the public and private gardens of Washington D.C., Virginia and Maryland at The Garden Bloggers Fling! I'm thrilled to be going on a great trip with some fabulous garden bloggers. I will be sharing lots of fun photos on social media, so check out my Instagram account - @thefreckledrose if you want to follow along!

That's a wonderful photo of your family. I'm sorry your dad isn't doing well. It's tough to watch our parents getting older and having health problems. Wouldn't it be nice to literally be able to go back in time when we were younger like that and enjoy the innocence of that time again. Your sister's death had to be so difficult to go through. My Dad has been gone since 1991 and I miss him a lot. He would have been 100 this year! I just love that red had society party you hosted- you're the best!

ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry about your Dad not feeling well, Linda. How sweet it was of you to host the Red Hat luncheon for your Mom's turn. I loved the tall centerpiece so that everyone could still see each other. Thanks so much for hosting your party!
ReplyDeletep.s. I loved the family photo of all of you. I'm sure you still miss your sister.
Always a great party, and you gals are each such busy women. You, particularly, are busy not only with your own interests, but in caring for your parents. I hope your dad's issues are minor. What a great family photo, and look at you, all spiffy in your 'do and long legs! Thank you for taking the time to be part of DIDI, Linda.
ReplyDeleteLinda, thank you for hosting. I'm starting my visits with your last post. I've been eagerly awaiting your red hat luncheon for your mom!
