The Traveling Tote Group thought it would be great fun to create a tablescape with our tote as the centerpiece. Naturally we have to add in some Mackenzie-Childs dishware. Miss Lola is the star in this tablescape.
These particular dessert/salad plates are called Berries and Blossoms.
Using my Traveling Tote bag Miss Lola, to hold these lovely flowers. It makes quite a statement, because this tote bag is very large.
I paired the pretty summer plates with the Courtly Check plates and added a red compote for dessert.
Red goblets tie in with the red theme.
A fun red and white checked table for whimsy. I am using our rattan square chargers to compliment the basket weave in the plates and to also make the square red chargers pop.
I am joining my fellow Traveling Tote girls. I hope you will visit each of their summer tables.

Linda, I would love a slice of your Lemon Cake with fresh berries! And to serve it on the Berries and Blossoms plates would be a little slice of heaven. I bought those plates at the barn sale but haven't used them yet. They look great with the rattan chargers and red. Thanks for the inspiration, and I know you are enjoying your tote in many ways.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, this is too pretty to be true! You girls and your Mackenzie Childs make us all want to spend a lot of money. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Linda! I love the way you have used red with your tote! It really works so well with the black, white and touch of green. The lemon cake is making me drool and I think a piece would be perfect for my breakfast, especially served on those new dishes. I'm tempted by the cake and the dishes too! And the roses must add a heavenly scent to your pretty room, too. Very beautiful! Linda (G) :)
ReplyDeleteThe tote looks so pretty as a centerpiece. The flowers are beautiful. Love the red accent color you used. The new MC dishes are so pretty. I've admired them on-line but they're much prettier in person. The desert looks so yummy- I love lemon and i like how the fruit was placed on it.
ReplyDeleteWow! The tote did well for this center piece! I would love a piece of that Lemon cake right now.

Super cute and joyful this darling purse is such a star:)
ReplyDeleteThe berry plates are adorable and I like how you used the rattan chargers to pick up on the basket weave on the dishes! Centerpiece is perfect in your tote!! AND, that lemon cake looks delish. You certainly met the challenge and set a lovely table!!
ReplyDeleteI am loving the berry plates! What a talented decorator you are dear friend! The colors you use are always so harmonious together.
ReplyDeleteI love the berry plates and the berry dessert! Linda, the red on your table makes the Courtly Check pop. I love it! I have been visiting all the traveling tote summertime tablescape posts and I'm having a ball! I also love the red compotes and red and white check napkins. I am "borrowing" your idea of mixing the red compotes with the Courtly Check. So pretty!
ReplyDeleteThe red accents are so fabulous with the Berries and Blossoms MKC plates! Your flower filled tote in the center adds dramatic pizazz to this wonderful summer berry theme table and a berry topped cake for dessert is quite a treat! Everything is better with a little MKC!
ReplyDeleteLinda, Miss Lola with her elegant arrangement is stunning! Your table settings of Berries and Blossoms make a gorgeous summer table. I love how the Courtly Check pattern pops with the red. A beautiful and elegant table to celebrate summer. Happy August......
ReplyDeleteLemon cake with berries! Oh, my! I'm going to be thinking about that goodie all day. Your Berries and Blossoms plates are fab. They are the perfect summer tabletop addition. I'm ready to pull up my chair and enjoy all these Courtly Check delights.
ReplyDeleteWhoa, Linda! Yes, those flowers are a statement, but not only do I see Blossoms and Berries, I see flatware, and CC pitchers, tiered serving and stacked plates! I almost didn't see that gorgeous cake! What a collection you've assembled, really nice. Cheers to August, Lovely Lady Linda!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful presentation, Linda! I love the table setting of Berries and Blossoms - they are so pretty and breathtaking! You really did go all out for this one! And red is the perfect accent color for Miss Lola's centerpiece! Kudos to you, sweet lady!
ReplyDeleteI'm especially smitten with those Berries and Blossoms dessert plates, Linda. Your tote is the perfect centerpiece as it's filled with pretty flowers. I'd love a slice of cake, please!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Linda! Love the pops of red and the cake looks fabulous! I am hungry so would love a piece:)
ReplyDeleteMiss Lola is the star and the berries and blossoms pattern is so cute and fun. I like how the checkered red and white napkin and red charger on the basket charger made it pop.
ReplyDeleteNow, Miss Lola had some competition with your lemon cake and fresh berries!
You always do the best tablescapes and give us such fun ideas. Love that the purse is the center piece.
