Cloggers Xmas Luncheon Part 1

The Clogger's luncheon was a great success.  Everyone had a great time.  My husband was a wonderful helper and bartender.  Getting the ladies more champagne or whatever they wanted.

My husband Paul with one of our guests, Mary.  She recently lost her husband.

A fun tree this year with black, white and red with a Mackenzie Child's look.

I left my tote, Miss Lola beside the tree, because she certainly fit in with the decor.

Keeping with the black and white with red, theme, I chose a solid black
tablecloth. The plaid placemats pop with their festive colors.

Patti from our Tales Of The  Traveling Tote Group was so gracious to be my personal shopper for these lovely plates and placemats. The plates are from Certified International Susan Winget.  They were selling them in the Wegman's stores.

An harlequin table runner really pops against the stark black tablecloth.  The candles are also harlequin inside the black tall candle holders.
Two tall nutcrackers sit beside the Mackenzie Childs lamp shades.

For party favors, I made Peppermint Scrub.

For those who do not know, my father passed away the very same day I held the party.  I wish to thank those who have expressed their heartfelt condolences for my father. He passed away in his sleep that evening.  The party was held earlier.

Thank you for your well wishes.  It's difficult to lose a loved one at anytime, but especially difficult at Christmas.  My Mom shall be with my husband and myself for Christmas Eve and Christmas day.

I shall be partying here:

  23. Linda, I am so sorry to hear about your father. I didn't know. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I just lost my dad also this past June, so I know exactly what you are feeling right now. It has been so difficult. My mom can not get used to the idea. He passed away 15 days before their 55th wedding anniversary and had not ever been apart from each other in all those years. Take care, dear friend. I am so sorry for your loss. If you need anything all you have to do is ask. xxx Maria
