Sorry, I haven't been able to put any new posts on for awhile. Our FAP has been quite high for the last month.
Like I have stated before, we live out in the country and are limited to what we can get for Internet.
We are being held hostage by some companies who do NOT offer more bandwidth.
We are on the highest tier already.
We are hoping the Monster satellite will offer us more. Keep your fingers crossed!
One of our neighbors is turning 80 August 1st. My husband and I thought we would buy him a kindle, since he is an avid reader. He is not into technology, so we don't know for sure what his reaction might be.
I have been customizing his kindle, so he will have some books on there, he can read.
We have asked his wife, what books he might be interested in reading.
I also put a few songs on his Kindle, so he can listen to some of his favorite songs.
This particular model is the latest Kindle Wi-Fi model. This Kindle holds up to 3,500 books. You can read in the sun without the glare on the screen.
I made a custom Birthday greeting with his baby picture and a current picture. This Kindle also plays music. I selected a silly Birthday song to play along while he looks at his Birthday greeting.
I am happy to say this Kindle also has a browser. Who knew? I doubt he will ever be able to use this feature, but his wife will. I put a few favorites on bookmarks, such as google, G-mail, and
accuweather.
A single charge lasts up to two months with wireless off based upon a
half-hour of daily reading time. If you read for one hour a day, you
will get battery life of up to one month.Through Wi-Fi, you can download books in 1 minute .
One last tip, you can even find free books online.
I bought him 1 book and searched Google for free ebooks.
It's amazing how much free stuff is out there.
if your don't feel like reading, just download audio books and listen.
I am completely sold on this little gadget. I hope he can put it to good use.
Off to working on some clogging routines. Have a fantastic week~
