Philly Cheese Steak

Ever think about those mouth watering Philly Cheese steak sandwiches?  A few years ago, I decided to try making some.  I use Ribeye steak for my Philly Cheese Steak Sandwiches.  The meat is so much better and tender, especially when you ask the butcher to slice them as thin as possible.  They always look at me funny, and wonder why am I destroying a perfectly beautiful steak. I always tell them what I am making.  Then they say......yumm!
I usually get 2 steaks from the butcher.  I have the butcher slice them paper thin, so the meat melts in your mouth.

First I cut up the onions, bell peppers and saute in skillet in a little oil and butter.  I use seasoned salt and pepper.  After they are softened, remove and then cook the steak.

I always toast the buns and add provolone cheese and put under the broil for a few minutes to melt the cheese.  Enjoy!

  3. I have never been able to get meat sliced that thinly! This is one of our family's favorites. A restaurant in town uses cream cheese - I love that one too! I may have to work with my meat guy!
