Well, I was inspired when I saw the Topiary pumpkins over at Janis's Blog All Things Beautiful. Janis did an amazing job on this gorgeous pumpkins. I had to give them a try. The great thing about these pumpkins, you can use them time and time again through the years. No pumpkins rotting away. I do use real pumpkins, just for certain things. Go here to see her beautiful creations.
I found the small and medium pumpkins at JoAnns. They were on sale.
The large Funkins, I found at Hobby Lobby. My husband and I went, both with a 40% off coupon in hand.
One per customer, so we split up. We drilled holes with two different size drill bits and added Xmas lights.
I did mine a little different than Janis. I didn't glue them. We used a stake to keep them all in line....tiered.
I added the Fall garlands after the pumpkins were tiered up. I just wrapped them around, starting at the top,
so you wouldn't see where there pumpkins were connected. Sorry, I forgot to add my bows, so they are not in the photo. Give them a try!
Twilight hour makes a beautiful photo.
Thanks again for visiting. I hope to have all of this cleared up soon.

ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I hope you feel better soon! I really like the addition of the lights to your toparies. Mom and I made toparies similar to yours but without the lights and left them on the front porch one Halloween night. Sadly, it was stoken by teenagers who stole and vandalized the neighborhood later that night. I keep saying I want to make another set, but haven't done it again.
ReplyDeleteI also like the pretty wreaths on your doors. You've done a wonderful job on your outdoor decorating.
