Hello everyone. It's a brand new year and we all have plenty to be thankful for.
2012 had it's share of tragedies in which, it's difficult to understand.
My hope for 2013 is a more peaceful one.
I have also been busy re-designing some friend's blogs.

Please excuse me while I work on my blog. There's seems to be a glitz in the customize blog Designer.
When you visit my blog and when it first loads, my fleur de lis background is there. After a few seconds, it disappears.

This last year my husband retired. He is thoroughly enjoying retirement.
Sometimes I wonder where the time goes.
One thing I noticed is, What's for lunch question?
Sometimes it starts off with, are you hungry?
Actually my husband is wonderful. He suggest going out to lunch and a movie quite a bit. It's great to see a movie in the middle of the day.
We both are computer people, working side by side in our study.
We are looking forward to two weeks in Hawaii this year.
A nice break to enjoy the tropics.
We would like to paint our cabinets in the laundry room.
They are a boring gray color.
Another project is taking out 1-2 keystone block walls by
our dining room. The plants never seem to thrive there, so we thought we would put in an outdoor fireplace. The patio there is pavers, so would add more pavers where the keystone block wall is.
The area will be enlarged to accomodate a fireplace.
It would be a great view from our dining room.
Here's some inspiration photos:
Do you have any projects planned for 2013?
I never run out of ideas. Thank goodness my husband is quite handy.
No worries, I have plenty more ideas.
Here's to a happy healthy, peaceful and prosperous new year.
I am so thankful I am alive. I am an ovarian cancer survivor.
Take care of yourselves and thanks for visiting. Hugs, Linda

ReplyDeleteLove your fireplace ideas! It's great that your hubby is a handyman! It's neat that you both work on the computers side by side! My guy is jealous of the time I spend online, and he doesn't know how or want to learn how to use the computer, unless I help him find a site about cars and car shows!
ReplyDeleteYou are right, we have so much to be thankful for! I hope you continue to have the best of health and take that trip tp Hawaii, and Have a very Happy New Year! Linda
Sounds like great plans for the new year. I love the outdoor fireplace idea. That would be a big hit at our house. If only we had a place for one. It is nice having a handy hubby, isn't it! I never run out of ideas either and my man is always so helpful with many of my projects. I couldn't do it without him.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of the outdoor fireplace! Sounds like a big project though! Glad you and Paul are enjoying his retirement together! I can just visualize you two plucking away at the computers at the same time!
Your background loads and stays but it's blurry.
Thank-you again for my new facelift on my blog!
Ok, my blog angel, did you change my header again???? I FINALLY got a post up and saw a new header! The outdoor fireplace will be beautiful and I would LOVE to do that too. Can't wait to see it! XO, pinky
ReplyDeleteWould love to have a patio like the ones you pictured. But I have a hubby who is very far from handy. And when you add labor, ouch.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on be a survivor. God be with you.
Don't know how I missed this post...love the wall idea. It's gonna be gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Linda, I love love love these ideas for an outdoor fireplace/patio area. I've pinned this post for reference later when we get around to doing ours. You may have just given me the nudge I needed to get that project rolling. I'm married to a Paul too, who's neither tech-savvy nor handy, but he's always willing to try. You gotta love them, don't you? Thanks so much for your very sweet comment about my PB inspired wall clock. Enjoy the rest of your week!
