The other problem is, we had to order the arched window three times. They kept sending us the wrong design. Very frustrating and time wasted!
In the middle of all of this, I had my second surgery for Thyroid cancer.
We still have to wait on the window, however the cabinets are being installed this Thursday.
We are so excited! Here's my inspiration board.
Another picture of our new cabinets before being stained.I ordered two of these to put under the curved part of the peninsula.
I ordered the knobs and pulls above. I hope I like them when they arrive. Sometimes colors are not right when ordering online. The
I love the crystal pendants. We will have two over the 3 foot wide peninsula.
We have the copper sink above. The chandelier on the collage, I am still thinking that. It will hang in the middle of the small barrel ceiling.
The cabinets are ours, just not stained yet. You can see the finish in the picture on the right.
This is the quartzite we selected for our countertops. We thought it was granite, but our fabricator pointed out, it's quartzite, which is stronger and more antibacterial than granite. It also resists stains too!
This is called Santorini from Brazil.
Here is the before picture of the pop-out.
This is the after look.
About my health update, I am feeling better. I see my doctor Nov. 4th.
My concern is the swollen area around the incision. It looks like a hematoma to me.
Thank you again for your support.
Happy Halloween!

ReplyDeleteLove the skeletons dancing too, happy halloween!
Love your kitchen choices, the quartzite is beautiful. Love your dancing skeletons too! I hope all goes well with your doctor appointment. Wishing you a Happy Halloween!
ReplyDeleteLove your kitchen choices. I have the same corbeils under my granite overhang. I love them and I have a piece above my range top that matches it. I have a small copper sink on our bar and I have an aged copper faucet set. However, I was supposed to let the copper age (because I didn't want to buy the pre-aged one-big mistake)..so I paid more for the unpolished one. The problem is that it gets about 1/3 of the way to being aged and I use Bar Keeper's friend to polish it up again- lol I tell ya, it's a sickness.
ReplyDeleteHope your Dr. appt goes okay. Sometimes incisions look bad for quite a while-especially in a tender area like that-even more so if they removed or compromised any of the lymph nodes. Keep us posted and I am continuing to pray for you- xo Diana
It's going to be so great! I wish I lived closer and could see all this in person. The outside turned out very cute after he got done changing it. Your quartzite choice is beautiful. The crystal chandi's over the peninsula will be so cute! I'm glad you've gotten this last surgery done with, and hopefully the part on your neck will settle down.
