Having lunch on our deck off the study is nice, because it is a beautiful day today. We have a covered trellis for shade.
I layered the table with two different tablecloths. I love my Bee plates from Horchow. They go nicely with the sunflower plates. The colorful goblets are from Novica...I actually won them from a blog giveaway. The cobalt blue goblets are from the Dollar store.
I am using the white charger from Pier 1 and the blue flatware is from Ross.
I combined a blue and a yellow napkin to tie in the colors.
You can see my other sunflower post here.
Here's a gorgeous set from buffyb at Polyvore with sunflowers.

ReplyDeleteMy absolute favorite flower ever. What a gorgeous setting Linda!
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Linda, I love blue and yellow and it reminds me of the colours I saw in Italy. Sunflowers are the perfect flower and the sunflower design look so lovely on your plates. I cannot believe that your wine glasses cost only 1$ as they look so gorgeous. It must have been lovely to sit on your terrace, underneath the shade of your covered terrace to enjoy your lunch.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day today.
Best Wishes to you.
Daphne
Good morning beautiful Linda! WOWSA YOWSA I love sunflowers, and wherever they are placed, it's as if the whole room lights up with a smile. I think these flowers (I've always thought this since childhood) have PERSONALITIES.....they have faces that follow the sun and smile. The large variety that stand 6 feet tall always scared me as a kid because I thought they were "alive" - but now, their almost animated presence pleases me. What a great colour to use as our summer starts to wane and roll into the cooler days.
ReplyDeleteLinda dear, thank you so much for coming to visit. It's been a great summer, and with only 20 days to go until I march into my classrooms to teach French, I'm milking every moment for what it's worth! Much love, Anita
Hi Linda, Such a beautiful setting for lunch on your deck. Blue and yellow are so complimentary together and I have always loved the contrast. Your plates are charming and the goblets are perfect. I love sunflowers too. You created such a gorgeous Tuscan setting.
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed day.

I scrolled back up and looked 2 or 3 times, and I REALLY like the plaid overlay paired with the sunflower dishes! That's a really great look! The sunflowers are so pretty, and this time of year with so many summer flowers beginning to fade out, they really brighten up a table.
ReplyDeleteI need to stop into that Ross store more often. I would have loved to have bought these plates! We live right near the Kansas (the Sunflower State) border, so these would have a lot of relevance as well as just look great!
I'm glad you're enjoying nice weather there! Have a great week!
So pretty, Linda! Love the yellow and blue and the sweet table area. Sunflowers shout happy and that is the just the feeling you have created!
ReplyDeleteLinda, this is such a pretty table setting. I love the sunflowers!
ReplyDeleteLove the sunflowers. I bet lunch on the deck was even more enjoyable with your pretty table settings.
ReplyDeletePerfect combination! It's interesting to see several people doing sunflowers and they all look so different. I really like the blue and yellow - very rich looking. I also love your bee plates. This also makes me realize I need to get some colorful flatware. Nicely done!
