I started with our mantel, since it is in our family room. Since we are in there every night, it makes perfect sense to start my decorating there.
I recently bought this clock from Bombay. I added the gold sleigh and two gold reindeer.
4 candle holders and lots of greenery with lights. Topped off with a swag of gold and a Merry Christmas sign.
I added the tall nutcrackers for whimsy.
Gotta have stockings.....LOL
Our Baker's rack all decked out with lots of Santa's and snowmen.
Santa Claus brings some more whimsy.
Our Christmas tree, trimmed with gold and bronze in the family room.
I do have more.....LOL
Thanks for visiting and have a fabulous week!

Your decorations are just beautiful Linda! I love the leopard stocking on the fireplace!! Just my kind. Have a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteYour mantle and other decorations are beautiful, Linda. I am not doing as much this year as I have in the past either. I don't think I am even going to pull my Spode Christmas china out at this late date. I have not done a single thing yet- Maybe tomorrow. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteYou ARE in the spirit!:)
ReplyDeleteI wish you all the best.
Linda, I do know about those times when a person just doesn't have the energy or feeling for all out decorating.
ReplyDeleteI think that's when a person realizes just how little it actually takes to create a warm and cozy - not to mention a little festive --atmosphere. For me it's lights and a bit of green and red. Some garland here and a vignette of candles and red balls there. A strand of twinkle lights over the fig tree in the front room ... and there you go.
So enjoy. Be well and hearts with hugs to you and best wishes for Dante!

ReplyDeleteI hope Dante is feeling better and will have good health in 2015, Linda! Your decorations are very elegant and fit your decor so well. I also love your Santa and snowmen collection!
ReplyDeleteI just began to decorate this weekend and I have bins all over the house. I know some objects won't come out of the bins, but I'd like to do as much as possible. We did not decorate at all for a few years in the past as we always traveled to Denver for our grandson's birthday and then celebrated an early Christmas with our children before going back to New York. It was OK because then I'd have plenty of time to enjoy all the festive decorations all over NYC! I loved to see all the Christmas trees in different parts of the city. Now that we live in Colorado it was fun to decorate again and enjoy the festivities here.
Gorgeous Home decor Linda! I am absolutely loving your mantle and tree! I am so sorry to hear that you are going through a lot of stress this week and with Dante's surgery and you are in my prayers. I hope he feels better soon!

ReplyDeleteThe mantel is beautiful! I thought that clock was new- I love it! Your tree is so pretty- love the colors. The Baker's rack is so cute all decked out with the Santas! I hope little Dante is much better by now. It's easy to get overwhelmed with all the details through the holidays. I hope you can catch up and feel stronger! I couldn't have done what I did this year if Dan hadn't helped my get things brought upstairs.
ReplyDeleteYou always make the Holiday's look so elegant in your home, Linda. Enjoy every beautiful moment!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
JP

ReplyDeleteYour narrow little table in front of the windows matches my coffee table in my great room. No wonder I love your decorating style so much. We think alike!
ooops...I forgot to add my sincere best wishes for a full recovery for Dante & that YOU can maintain your level of health & strength. My Mom always used to say "if you've got your health, you've got everything you need". So true!!!

Your mantle is gorgeous, Linda, and the stocking is fabulous! Your sense of style and design is always bang on and the tree alone is worthy of a magazine spread! Had so much fun laughing with you last night, sweet friend. You're the best! Lots of love to you. xoxo
ReplyDeleteSo this is you "not motivated", huh??? Geez, Linda...this is more than many people do in TWO years time!!! It's all really pretty, too. There is a teensy bit of motivation there, right? Right??? :-)
ReplyDeleteI know you're on edge with Dante's surgery looming. I hope decorating is an outlet that will help you to calm yourself and think good thoughts for him. Your good energy will rub right off onto him and help him to sail through it all.
Hang in there, sister!
Very cozy and festive, Linda; a lovely and Christmas mantel! Happy Holidays!

Linda. no matter how much effort you can put into the decorating it always looks spectacular. It's most important that you take care of yourself and little Dante and when you are sitting in your family room relaxing just know that you certainly did it up beautifully..Happy Wednesday..Judy
ReplyDeleteBeautiful decorations, Linda. You have a lovely home. Hope all is going well with you... Linda P from the UK.
ReplyDeleteSo, so beautiful! I hope that Dante's progress is good and he's much better quickly. I hope that you won't overdo during the holidays. I know your family and friends understand. Just consider it a little less is more this year. :)
