NEW GATE
If you need a gate that is up to 42", you can order from Costco. We were given many options to customize this gate. Choosing design, shape, adding clavos, latches, etc.
Peek door with Speakeasy...makes it fun to pop open the door and see who's there...
Clavos decorative gate accessory.
Below is is our wrought iron arched gate. My husband moved it to the side and replaced the plain gate that was there. That area is where we have our copper dining table.
BEFORE
We love this gate as well. It was a special birthday gift for my husband. The Schnauzers looking at each other was my design in copper.
Gate moved to side
There you have a beautiful new gate with added privacy. On another note below:
STOP THIEF!
I started watermarking my photos, due to some thief stealing some of my posts. Even if you watermark and add your own backlinks, he still is stealing posts. I am not alone. This person is stealing posts from all over, even BH&G. I am taking steps to take this guy down. daily arch design dot com is the site. Susan from Between Naps On The Porch also fell victim to someone like this. I have sent complaints to Godaddy, his server and I tweeted to him, his managing company. It seems he has 16 domains registered with Godaddy. He puts Google ads on there and basically he is snagging posts and sitting back, collecting money. He even hired a SEO expert. I am adding a DMCA badge to my site.

Perfect gate! Your property looks stunning Linda:)
ReplyDeleteI like the relocated one too..♥
Perfect moves.
It looks great.
ReplyDeleteLove the new gate and its home!! I'm also glad you could still repurpose the old one. It still looks great too. Happy Birthday Linda's hubby!
ReplyDeleteYour property and new gate is stunning-what a charming look-as we design our new home we are adding a radius wrought iron door with fleur de lis embellishments. I love doors, they set the tone for everything!

Beautiful gate! So sorry to hear about your photos. I have never heard of DMCA but hope this puts an end to your troubles.
ReplyDeleteYour gate is incredible. I would like to know more about his thief. What can we do to help? a few years ago, I found some of my posts on a Japanese site! I stopped watermarking my photos because it takes so much time I a honestly about ready to throw in the towel.
ReplyDeleteI see that auto correct has created some lovely spelling errors!
DeleteI love your new gate and I love the privacy you have now. It is really a great finishing touch, Linda. What is WRONG with people? I hope the guy gets cut off from goDaddy and loses everything. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteEverything about your place is all so elegant!!! My ex husband was a stone mason and your stonework is beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteHi Linda, love the new gate and the look is stunning. The switch is perfect and adds so much privacy.
ReplyDeleteSure hope this post and pic thief is caught. I watermark everything. Years ago I stumbled upon my pics on a garden site. Thankfully I wrote them and they took them down.
Happy Sunday my friend. cm
Oh how lovely Linda! Your gate is so stunning! Love the detail of the rustic look!
ReplyDeleteSorry to here about the scammers they hit my blog a couple of years ago,
Make sure you watermark in an area that they can't crop your pictures.
Good luck!
Oh dear....about that thief? How did this blogger pal even find out this was happening, Linda? Not that I have anything worth stealing, but this is serious! OHHHH That makes me so mad and YOUR GATE! FABULOUS! Your home and gardens are so masterfully done. Enjoy every moment of this terrific summer! Much love, Anita
ReplyDeleteYeah, nice gate and much more private! Looks like the kind of gate a castle would have!
ReplyDeleteVery nice, Linda....it is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Linda!! I love the stonework, too. So classic!

Beautiful gate, and I love the stone wall, too!
ReplyDeleteThe new gate is gorgeous, but then everything you do is gorgeous! I don't know whow to watermark, but am sure no one wants my posts:):)
ReplyDeleteThat's a hunk of a gate- love it! I like that schnauzer gate where you moved it too. I never watermarked because I know these people can crop them out or touch up the photos anyway. One thing I learned from Susan/Between Naps on the Porch when she blogged about her content being stolen was to add back links to other posts of your own because somehow it makes it harder for them to steal content when those links are attached. I don't know what DMCA is.
ReplyDeleteThe new gate is gorgeous, Linda, and does add the privacy that you wanted. I'm so glad that you were still able to use the wrought iron one by relocating it.
ReplyDeleteHow awful of this thief, and I hope you take him down!!! Go Linda!!
Beautiful gate, Linda! I love the little peek door! I love when natural elements like wood and stone are combined - so much character!
ReplyDeleteDon't you love it when someone steals your stuff? I read the other day that a guy is making a fortune selling art that he's using from Instagram. He's combining photos and making collages and selling them. It seems that once you put it out there, it's no longer yours :(.
Hope your week is off to a great start, Wonder Woman! Lots of love to you. xoxo
Both gates are so unique and wonderful. I love the little door that allows you to peek out to see who is there, and I love that a friend made the iron gate based on your design. Well done. I'm afraid it won't do any good, but I've also reported the thief.
ReplyDeleteHope all is well~
ReplyDeleteYour gates are beautiful...both of them! Sure hope this guy gets shut down!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing at AMAZE ME MONDAY!

ReplyDeleteBoth gates are stunning. The solid one is impressive and I am glad you figured a way to incorporate the iron gate, too.
ReplyDeleteIt's terrible to have someone stealing like this! Glad you are taking actions and I wonder how you discovered him.
