Fun Fall Recipes

I thought I would share some Fall recipes.  I baked up some Apple Roses, Falling leaves sugar cookies, along with some  Oreo Spider cookies

These are darling apple roses.  They are made with puff pastry and apples of course.
They fit perfectly in a muffin pan. Aren't they the cutest? This recipe comes from Manuela. You can visit her blog to see how she makes these beauties step by step.
You can watch the video below to see how they are made.

The Fall leaves sugar cookie recipe is from Land of Lakes. Click the link to see the recipe. These cookies look a little different than the ones on land Of Lakes.  I marbled the dough together to get the different colors.

Lastly the Oreo spider cookies.

Creepy little chocolate spider cookies. They are a little difficult to make, because you have to paint the chocolate on the spider outline first.  Little details....I found the  Wilton cookie mold at Michaels. I used candy melts to make them with your choice of Oreo cookies.

Aren't this cute for serving a salad?  Mesclun Meanies

Here'a glimpse of an upcoming Halloween tablescape.

Enjoy the weekend.  Time is going by so fast.
Don't forget it's Breast Cancer Awareness.  Cancer is such a deadly disease.  Pay attention to your body! I am glad I did.  I beat Ovarian cancer twice and thyroid cancer.
Here's some of my Halloween tablescapes below.

  9. You did a fabulous job on painting the spiders! It is always tricky and yours look perfect. The roses are spectacular! Love how elegant they are. I love looking at your tablescapes. I want to do a book on my holiday tablescapes. Sometimes I look back and marvel that I could have done them. Wouldn't it be fun to have them all collected in a coffee table book - next lulu.com project after I finish all my family history books!

  10. You're an amazing dessert chef! During the Halloween season your place must be so popular--well, actually, any holiday probably is! And I think you must enjoy it even more than your guests because you created it!

  19. Good Evening Linda, I loved the clip you showed of how to make the apple roses... they look so spectacular, but they seem easy to make. I cannot wait to try them as I feel sure my family will be very impressed. I'm not sure about the etiquette, but I posted the clip on my Google +..... was that ok.
Linda you really are an inspiration to us all, to have beaten cancer three times... you are an amazing lady.
    Best Wishes to you.
