Luxury Flooring For Less!

Flooring can  really make a massive distinction in your home.  Whether  or not, you choose tile, wood flooring or laminate, it could sincerely make a room pop!  Flooring should be considered a focal point in a room.

I discovered GoHaus has a lovely collection of tile and flooring. Looking around their site, I was inspired. with plenty of suggestions, a gallery and how-to's.
I love the Hand Scraped flooring, so rich looking.

Another popular look is the tile that looks like wood.  I happen to watch HGTV and they feature this particular look quite often. Hardwood floors and vinyl floors can last 10 - 15 years, depending on the traffic.  I must be addicted to those design shows....

We realized that when we replaced our own flooring.  We had the boring gray tile everywhere.  We thought about replacing it many times, but we knew it was a big, bad, dusty job.  After years of living  with the grey, we went for it!    We are very pleased with our floors.  Travertine in a versaille pattern.

I love the look of wood and tile together. Here's some inspiration below.  Totally Victorian and so very elegant.  Notice the combo of flooring used?

Vinyl flooring has come a long way. Luxury vinyl plank flooring is gorgeous and sometimes difficult to tell the difference.  It is outstanding for a basement and maybe a bath or two.
An added benefit, it is great for DIY doers.

Something to consider is, installing wood, vinyl or plank flooring on walls, backsplashes, and ceilings.  Let your imagination go!  You could create a focal wall with flooring.

Engineered wood flooring is something else this company carries.  A wonderful option to install over a heated floor. I wish we had installed a heated floor system in our Master bath.  Warm and toasty for the feet.  I love finding new resources when we are thinking projects plus they offer 6 FREE flooring samples of your choosing.

  2. I've noticed the shows on HGTV using a fair amount of the vinyl or ceramic tile pieces that look like wood. I like a lot of the new choices that are out there- much more interesting than it was 20 years ago! Your flooring is gorgeous and being a natural product will always look good!

  4. You and your hubby are always doing such a wonderful job of updating your home, Linda. I'm also addicted to HGTV! My late beloved and my youngest son put wood planks up on a bedroom wall in my son's and DIL's house and it looks so nice.

  5. Linda, What a informative post! WE had oak hardwood at our last house and I loved it; when we moved to our new home it had carbonized bamboo, the only problem is that you aren't supposed to clean it or polish it and the old owner didn't leave me any instructions. It gets dirty easily, due to our dog and our grands and doesn't look as good as it should. I figure in another few years, we'll have to have it sanded and finished again(this time with a thick polymer coating). I too love HGTV, they inspire us so much. Have a great day!
