Hello friends, I have been away, so pardon my absence.
My husband and I set off to visit New York City to meet some of the Traveling Tote gals and their hubbys. After years of blogging with some of these talented bloggers, they felt it was time to meet in person. Some of you who read my blog know I am one of the Tales of the Traveling Tote gals.
On Saturday, we all met at the Russian Tea Room in New York.
For over eighty years, New York's fabulous events have taken place here. To this day, this very elite restaurant with exquisive modern Russian style hosts special events, fine dining, elegant high tea and the finest vodka selection.
After we had a fabulous brunch, we were invited to go upstairs and take in the fabulous 9 foot tall acrylic bear aquarium with fish.
It was the perfect opportunity to create a photo with our lovely totes.
I am sure we made quite a statement with our fabulous totes.
Here we are in front of The Russian Tea Room with our special Traveling totes.
Next, we visited the fantastic Mackenzie Childs store. My very first visit. They were told ahead of time, The Traveling Tote gals would be visiting. They graciously allowed us to enjoy their mezzanine with lovely cupcakes from Magnolia Bakery and brownies Patty brought from a NY bakery. Champagne, wine was provided, so this was truly a wonderful party.
All of us together on the mezzanine with a champagne toast.
I shall treasure these precious memories forever.
Paul, my hubby with Joe, Debbie's hubby at our dessert party. Joe treated Paul to a wonderful New York deli.
Jenna @The Painted Apron and Rita P @WVPanoly are also part of this group. They could not make the trip this time, but we felt their spirit and they were greatly missed!

How fun Linda! I enjoyed the pictures and the beauty of the Russian Tea Room. It must have been a lot of fun going to the MacKenzie Childs store there too. I’m sure you had a lot of eyes looking at all of you with the totes! I trust you bought some goodies there too!
Hi Linda. Your trip sounds wonderful. Love the pictures of the Russian Tea Room. How fun! I came to your blog also to ask you for some help with my blog. Someone has installed an unwanted link right across my blog header and I can not remove it no matter what I try. I have messaged the blog owner several times, but no answer. I was wondering if you would have some time to help me with this. I tried to email you, but for some reason it didn't work. Thank you in advanced. My email is mariaelenahm@aol.com. xxx Maria

Hello Linda, oh wow it looks like you all had so much fun meeting up in NYC! I think that it's wonderful you all met each other. I love your bags. I have never been to that restaurant and it looks so beautiful. The bakery I have wanted to go for a long time but never got the chance to, but now I definitely will. Thanks for sharing your adventure. Julie
Linda, it was a fabulous weekend! I'm so happy that you and Paul made the trip. You win the prize for longest distance! It's fun to look back at our photos and relive the moment. What a treat to meet you and Paul and to get to visit over several different occasions. I felt we'd been forever friends from the first moment we met. I think Paul and the chef have a lot in common. Hope they get to meet some day. Happy Halloween!
