I thought I would share a few photos from our Florida, and New Orleans Trip.
I am saving some for June 1st. for the Tales of The Traveling Tote post.
Our friend's second home in Pensacola.
Gotta have a photo of the beach.
We visited our dear friends who also have a house in Pensacola, Florida on the water. The 4 of us ventured out to visit new Orleans for a few days since I had never been. From Florida, we passed through Alabama, Mississippi and on to Louisiana.
The artist who carved this fabulous horse with a chainsaw is Marlin Miller.
This Mississippi's Welcome Center.
We stayed at Hotel Mazarin, a Luxury French Quarter Boutique Hotel.
They provided lovely rooms with marble and a complimentary full breakfast.
We had a desire to stay at Hotel Monteleone, however the hotel was booked up. We were very happy staying at Hotel Mazarin.
We had great fun exploring New Orleans! Lots of bars and restaurant and plenty of Jazz. We dined the first evening at August. A lovely restaurant with beautifully displayed food. The chef surprised us with a complimentary Amuse-bouche. I am loving this idea and flavor. I shall be trying this out at a future dinner party. Love the presentation! Parmesan and garlic egg custard in an egg shell.
Amuse-bouche- The term is French, literally translated as "mouth amuser". A unique chef-selected and inspired bite-sized hor d'oeuve served both to prepare the guest for the meal and to offer a glimpse into the chef's approach to the art of cuisine.
I will leave you with a fun photo from a balcony. Lots of beads in this party town.
Remember our Garden Link party is May 25th.
Stay tuned for more of this trip on June 1st. Tales of The Traveling Tote.
We will also be having a Giveaway of Mackenzie Childs.
