Pool Cabana Project

Wow, it's been 20 years and we have not had a bathroom down by the pool.
I convinced my husband, we really needed one, since our pool is so far from the house.  You have to walk down quite a few steps to get to the pool area.

Look at these steps.  Having a pool cabana down there is much needed.  Grandkids swimming, dinner parties or just us hanging out at the pool.
Years ago, I wanted some grass to soften the area.  It had it's purpose, however the grass area was very small.  I was the one mowing...LOL
The cabana will actually go on the grass area.  A 10x16 building, with a bathroom,  mini kitchen and storage.
Progress is made. Digging out the area before placing the forms.
We started out with Summerwood, an online shed, storage pool house website, where you can design your own.
After shopping and comparing, we decided to use our builder who did our dining room and kitchen remodel.
I know I wanted a gable upfront with a small  square window. I did away with the front windows.  The double french doors are enough with a large slider window on the side and a small window in the bathroom.   The front will be faced with stone like our house. Here's a photo of our stone. This are is right off the Breakfast room, where we have another entertaining area.
Stay tuned for updates.

    Hi Linda,
The design looks wonderful. I subscribe to your website because I live near you and thought I could get some good ideas using local contractors. And I have, but I also really like the way your hair is cut, would you be willing to share the name of your hairdresser? Thanking you in advance, Susan

  5. Linda this is a beautiful space. It is like a resort in your backyard. Oh my gosh I am in awe of your beautiful backyard. The new Cabana is going to be so great. How great to have a bathroom down by the pool so your guest do not have to truck up to the house and through the house with wet bathing suits.
    Hugs,
    Kris
