Slow Poke Cabana

We seem to be waiting forever for the mason and electrician. Meanwhile, I have made some changes to the design.  Originally I was adding a rock wall inside with a round mirror in the middle.  After some thinking, I have decided more cabinets are needed.   We cannot have enough storage!

I added upper cabinets with glass for the center between the two tall cabinets.
A refrigerator will go in the space on the right and a dishwasher on the left.
Custom cabinet panels will go over the appliances.

Bosch

Here's a couple of choices for the backsplash. Feel free to share your thoughts.  You know how it is trying to decide on something.

Elume Wall Mosaic in Champagne

Random bricks blue glass & rise plant resin mosaic tile
I wanted a beachy vibe for this pool house.

The granite is being fabricated.  We chose Taj Mahal.

I am selecting this touch faucet by Delta.

I selected this pendant lights.  There will be two in the ceiling.

We left the floor concrete and just dyed them with concrete dye.  We used two colors.

The bathroom mirror arrived today.

More waiting!

  1. I like the tile with the blue to tie in with all the other fabulous things that color. Love the dyed floors.

  8. Love the two toned floor...so pretty Linda. I know the feelings of hurry up and wait when remodeling. I can't wait to see the completed update.
On another note, not sure why my profile is showing up incorrectly...I have word press and not blogger. Does that make a difference? No one has commented on that before. help!!!

  10. Love it and know you will enjoy it all. It's coming together but I know not fast enough. Building anything seems to be a slow process. Happy weekend!

  11. Thanks for sharing the process with us, Linda. I'm really loving the blue glass tiles, but whatever you choose will be perfect. The painted concrete floor is awesome, and so are the mirror, and the pendants. It's going to be gorgeous and so convenient.
