This project has taken a very long time. Now that summer is over, we will not be using this sweet place so much. We had to wait for the mason, because the original mason had an issue with his hod carrier. ( A laborer who carries the bricks, stones, materials for the mason.)
The pulls are by Berenson- Brushed Nickel.
We also need to finish the concrete floors. Some touch up painting and then a sealer. The baseboards will also be put in by my husband, Paul.
The granite is Taj Mahal. It kinds of looks like sand. Unfortunately we could not use our first choice with those beautiful blue colors. It was too small and the seams would be an issue.
Having a dishwasher and small fridge will be very handy. We even have a built-in small freezer in the fridge for those yummy ice cream sandwiches or popsicles.
A very large cabinet for storage. You can never have enough storage.
The small bathroom turned out great. A little bling was added.
My husband will add pavers to the entrance of the pool cabana. He will also work on the enclosure for the outdoor shower next spring.
The french doors also need paint and the handles. Below are some photos with the led lighting. Any color can be added or an effect.
As you can see, the bottom of the cabinets also needs some trim.
Excuse the crooked photos. I shall blame it on my husband who took the photos...LOL
Any thoughts?

Oh, Linda - this is gorgeous!! I adore the backsplash - the color is just so pretty! This looks large enough to be a mini guest house (I will bring a blow-up mattress!!!) This will be perfect for your pool parties and you wont be running up and down those stairs! Enjoy this lovely cabana - lucky you!!

ReplyDeleteWowza Linda, how cool to be able to change the colors of your lighting! Your husband is quite the DIYer! I love the tile you choose for the backsplash, so pool perfect, not to mention my favorite color! I have a similar tile in the master bath at the beach house and just love it! I love the way you can open up the cabana with wide doors...lots of wonderful times and parties in the future!

Linda!!!! It is gorgeous!!! I just love all your choices. The cabinets are very similar to the downstairs kitchen in our last home by the water. My favorite for a "water" side cabinet. I think you did just a fantastic job and I know it has been a long process with delays for you (mason and mom's health issues. Love the backsplash!!!
ReplyDeleteI know you are anxious to get it done because I think you, like me, like things to be finished and the waiting seems to take forever. However, LOOK how far its come! Love it, Linda. xo Diana
