The Tales of the Traveling Tote #17 plus Giveway

The Tales of the Traveling Tote is a series of adventures that share where our Mackenzie Childs tote bags have taken us. Quarterly a group of bloggers each write a connected post about the places we have been with our totes. We have built wonderful friendships through our blogs and we hope you enjoy our tales as much as we do! Some of us even met in person in New York City. More about the giveaway and bloggers is below.

I would also like to introduce our newest member, Cherry Kay, from Entertaining Women. Welcome to our fun group Cherry Kay and Miss Carrie Ann Hall

*To read about how this group got it's beginnings, read it HERE

Our Thanksgiving was very quiet this year. I cooked a traditional Turkey dinner with all the trimmings.
We really haven't traveled this year.  We have been very busy getting my mom's house ready to sell.  Lots of packing and decluttering.  Mom is doing quite well. I offered to host her lady friends from her neighborhood for a Christmas Brunch at our home.

Mis Lola sitting in our newly constructed pool cabana. It was a long process, but worth the wait!
Miss Lola and I can't wait for next summer, so we can enjoy the new  pool cabana and pool.

Miss Lola and our sweet Dante enjoying the fall colors.

Miss Lola loves the attention!  She feels quite at home with the Mackenzie Childs nutcrackers.
My mom and I recently visited Nicolson Glass for their Holiday open house.  We watched them making cute snowmen this year.

Every year, it's a treat to visit Pottery World.  There are two stores in northern California. They really deck out the store. Tomorrow, they are having a 30% off sale.  Below, I had fun with the alien.  Miss Lola jumped in the photo...lol

  3. Linda, Lola looks terrific in the pool house and on your kitchen sink with the Nutcrackers. Of course, the Pottery World photos are awesome, especially with the alien and reindeer. You look fabulous too. I know you've been super busy, but was glad to hear you were able to get your mom out to enjoy the glass-making. That looked fun, and the snowmen are adorable.
It's so fun to gather the tribe each quarter virtually, and I hope 2019 might have a real life gathering in the cards.

  11. Linda, I'm so happy that your mom is doing better. I know she appreciates your devotion and care. Cherish these times together. Your pool cabana is gorgeous. Well, all of your home and property is gorgeous! I'm always amazed at the lovely California properties with their lush surroundings. I know you and Paul keep busy with all that is involved, but as Monique commented, your home is like a fine resort.
Love the cute MKC nutcrackers in the kitchen. How perfect for them to stand guard as you are busy around the kitchen. It was fun for me to see the Nicolson Glass snow people. A good friend here collects these. She always has them on her mantel this time of the year. I didn't realize they were made in CA.
Thanks for sharing all the adventures. Happy Holidays to you and Paul and your mom. Sweet memories of our time in NYC last October.

  18. Hi Linda, oh I'm glad that you had a nice Thanksgiving and that your mom is doing better. I know the big job of cleaning out houses and decluttering as I did it for my father-in-law. It will be nice if you do the luncheon for your moms friends. The cabana is gorgeous. It's so much fun all of the places you have taken Miss Lola with you. That is great that your group is growing too.
    Have a nice week.
