Welcome friends. Garden time. My husband is working on the pavers for the pool cabana. I have been working in the yard quite a bit. My mom is visiting her sister in Tennesee. This post is all about the front of our house and the pool area.
Our island down by the pool is thriving. The cannas are growing along with Pentas, Society Garlic and Hibiscus. Flax is in the large center pot.
His Royal Highness is showpiece. My husband loves purples, so we have lots of purple around our house.
This is beautiful by the front of our house.
Our Society Garlic looks lovely this spring.
This is our waterfall leading down to the pool. Every year, I climb inside to cut back the Creeping Fig. With all of the rains we had this past Winter, the vines really took over. I shall be working on more of this today. Back breaking work!
Our entry. The Japanese maple blooms beautifully each year.
Jasmine is in full bloom on our pool house, where our pool equipment is stored.
Steps leading up to our home. The roses are lovely. The one on the left used to be a apricot rose and the one on the right was a beautiful light pink.
Time to bring out the chair cushions. A view from the palapa.

Your place is a real paradise! Wow your mom is in Tennessee- she does get around! She must be doing a lot better. The island by the pool is lovely. The garlic and that “fan palm?” look fantastic. Your waterfall looks good even dry! Isn’t that funny that both of those roses changed to the same color. I can’t imagine how wonderful that jasmine must smell! That palapa looks like the perfect summer spot to be!
ReplyDeleteI love your gardens Linda. So pretty and I hear ya on the roses changing....I have had that happen several times with my bougainvillea ! One started out the most beautiful pink and now it is white. One of the others started out yellow and is now white. Go figure. Yard work can be exhausting and especially pulling out stubborn "weeds"! What I find amusing as I have lived so many places ...that weeds to some ,are precious blooms to others. so I guess it is all in how you look at them. LOL
ReplyDeleteOh Linda how gorgeous is your backyard area. I love the pic with the arch and all the beautiful flowers leading up to the house. Have a great rest of the week.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Kris
