Egg Strata via Bundt Pan








My mom is visiting her 93 year old sister in Tennessee at the moment.
I know she is having a good time.  She will be missed on this very special day.




Ham and Cheese Egg Strata

Yield: 8-10 servings

A light and fluffy egg strata

ingredients:

  • 1 cup chopped ham
  • 10  sliced mushrooms - cut in half.
  • 3 3/4 cups half and half
  • 10 eggs
  • 1 tsp dry ground mustard
  • 1 cup cheddar,  feel free to use any cheese
  • salt - pepper to taste
  • 6 cups brioche  bread - cut in cubes
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese

instructions:

How to cook Ham and Cheese Egg Strata

  1. Grease a bundt cake pan
  2. Chop ham into cubes. Chop mushrooms. Saute ham and mushrooms in skillet with a tablespoon butter.
  3. Medium size bow, whisk eggs for 1-2 minutes.  Whisk in half and half, mustard, salt and pepper.  Add the cheese and the sauteed ham and mushrooms.
  4. Fold in the brioche bread cubes.
  5. Our into bundt cake pan. Preheat oven to 350°F.  Bake for 1 hour and 20 minutes, until strata is cooked.  use toothpick to test doneness.
  6. It will be puffed.  Set aside to rest.  It will deflate a little. Turn upside down onto cake platter. cut into slices and enjoy!
