Sharing some tablescapes with red, white and blue. Memorial Day is so special. We honor our fallen heroes. Memorial Day is more than the start of summer. It is important for Americans to take time to remember the sacrifices that were made that brought us our freedom.
Philly Cheesesteak
My husband is from New Jersey and loves Philly Cheesesteak. He loves bread! He would rather have crackers, bread, pretzels than dessert. This recipe is so easy and you will love the flavors.

Philly Cheesesteak
Mouth watering Philly Cheesesteak
prep time: cook time: total time:
ingredients:
- Sandwich rolls - sour-dough - french - your choice - toasted
- 1 chopped green pepper -
- 1 chopped onion
- Provolone Cheese slices
- 2 (ribeye steaks) thinly sliced
- seasoned salt
- pepper
- 2 Tablespoons butter
instructions:
How to cook Philly Cheesesteak
- Put 2 Tablespoons of butter in grill pan, melt and add onions and peppers, saute, or grill them on your BBQ. Add sliced ribeye steaks......shred them with your fingers or use a knife. I ask the butcher to slice the steaks paper thin. Add seasoned salt and pepper...cook or grill until brown. Set aside. Add 1 slice of provolone cheese to each toasted roll. Add steak mixture and then top off with another piece of cheese. Put in oven 350 for a few minutes to melt cheese. Feel free to experiment with different cheese. Some people like Cheese whiz or cheddar cheese. Enjoy!
One of my favorite trifles to make. I always change it up. Christmas, I use cranberries. The original recipe comes from Martha Stewart.
My version is using the mixed bag of berries.
