Flamingos in Paradise for Mom

Saturday we held a Flamingo themed birthday party down by the pool for my mom.

Before my mom moves, I wanted to throw her a party.  A chance for her to see her friends before she moves. I will write more on her move on another post.
My mom wearing her pink flamingo sunglasses.  Happy Birthday Mom!
June 24th is her birthday.

Flamingo madness has taken over the table.

Flamingo tablecloth, plates, napkins, straws and props complete the theme.

The ladies all got a Flamingo tote bag filled with goodies.
Gotta have a pink flamingo in the pool.  My Great Granddaughter Lilly is coming to visit soon and I know she will love it.

I created the centerpiece with some small tropical plants, palm leaves from our garden and  baby pineapples.

The men sat at our outdoor kitchen island. Their plate settings were blue and green, definitely matching the chair pads. I also have the red and  blue set.

I made mini desserts.  Chocolate Mousse is one of her favorites.

I also Banana Cream, Key Lime Parfait and Strawberry shortcake, all in mini form. Our menu was pulled pork sliders, Baked beans, Potato salad, green salad, shrimp cocktail, deviled eggs and fruit.

Our guests having fun with the flamingo sun glasses.

Everyone enjoyed themselves.

I had this Hello Gorgeous sign made for an upcoming party for the Cloggers.
I thought I would use it with mom's friends.  Stay tuned for the "Hello Gorgeous"
party on July 5th.

I shall be partying here.

  1. OMGOSH, Linda. You REALLY outdid yourself on this one!!It is fantastic. I bet your mom really loved it. The girls always give me pink flamingos as a gag gift because no one here in WI ever sees flamingos. lol When we had our old historical house in the Astor neighborhood and were gone to FL on vacation a few years back, my kids took a 400 pound 4' tall cement Virgin Mary, placed it on our front porch and put two big pink flamingos on each side of it as if dipping their heads in reverence. My neighbor called me to tell me what was on our front porch. We were on the guided walk for history buffs. lol She said she could take down the flamingos but she and her hubby could not budge the statue. OMG- I could have killed those kids. lol The next year they fastened a pink flamingo to the top of the third story (chimney). AND I let them all live to adulthood.

Anyway- Bless your mom and wishing her a most happy birthday. Anxious to hear about the move!!!! xo Diana
