This post starts off with some beautiful color from a lovely sunset last night.
I am a huge fan of lighting. Good lighting sets the mood! It does not have to be expensive. Our house is adorned with lighting everywhere. Our pool area becomes magical at night. I love these new light pads I bought from Amazon. The info is toward the bottom of this post.
I am thankful my hubby is so handy but these babies are easy to place almost anywhere. Remember they are submersible. Just place them where you want to add some cool lighting and grab one of the remotes and choose your colors.
You can create a vase with water and a floating candle. Just add 1 led light pad inside. Just think of the beautiful tablescapes you can create. The strip lighting around the palapa and outdoor kitchen is a different product. The remotes are universal.
I added one of the led light pads to this glass canister for a lovely effect. The added sea shells really light up. Keep in mind, you can change the color, just by pointing one of the two remotes included.
Pool cabana
Our pool cabana all lit up inside. My husband used led strip lighting inside with a remote. You can use the same remote as the light pads. *Another way to control the strip lighting, is an app called Magic Home, which can be installed on your phone or tablet.
I wrote more about this particular Led strip lighting in another post.
Our mermaid sitting on a plant shelf. I placed a light pad on the shelf to highlight her.
I am playing with my phone's camera to take a wide angle shot of the pool area.
See how these plants look at night. When I find a product I love and believe in, I love to share.
These light pads are submersible. Stick them in a fish tank, fountains, ponds or just around your house.
I am using these

DeleteThis is truly a vacation resort:) Amazing oasis.
ReplyDeleteHad never seen submersibles..I did order a fireworks ball on Amazon last week for the porch:)
Thank you. We do feel it is resort like. The lights are awesome, even if you just set them around your yard or in pots. Those firework lights are wonderful. I love using them at Christmas.
DeleteWow! I had no idea all of these choices were out there! Our new house has a pool and I think we'll be doing a few these in our backyard for sure! Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteHaven't seen these types of lights...what a lovely retreat you have here - enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteLinda, when I saw that sunset I thought there couldn't be anything prettier and then I scrolled down!! What glorious (that is all I can think of to describe it) sights your garden and pool area are. That is such a brilliant invention, and it plays perfectly in the way you have presented it.. Thank you for your visit to me. I was leary about posting it as thoughts are so divided now but it is just common sense that we should be concerned about all that is going on and I can't understand those who don't regardless of their politics..Happy Wednesday..Judy
ReplyDeleteLinda,
ReplyDeletewhat a beautiful post!! The sunset is lovely and I adore all that charming lighting..
Hugs,
Deb
Linda your outside space is stunning. Must consider where I can use these light pads. Do they have tape on the back so they can be stuck on a wall?
ReplyDeleteThank you. They do not have tape, but you can use magic tape to attach them.mostly I have them in pots, on the ground or in fountains.
DeleteWhat an oasis you & Paul have created, Linda. With a home like yours, why even bother going anywhere else?! We always rate vacation destinations compared to our home, and yours sure looks hard to beat anywhere else!
ReplyDeleteRita, you are so kind. We have worked hard to get to where we are at. Unfortunately we the grounds keeper too...lol. Hope your summer is fun.
