Dining With Skellies

Welcome everyone.  It's time to celebrate Halloween with a tablescape blog hop organized by Chloe Crabtree. This blog hop runs all week until Friday, so be sure to check back and visit the other ladies sharing their awesome Halloween tables.

You will find the links toward the bottom of this post.  There are fun, spooky and creative tablescapes to explore, so have fun!

I set this table in our formal dining room.  I always enjoy using different lighting.
This all looks purple, however, most of the elements are black, white and silver.
We have overhead lighting that we can control with our tablets, made by  Phillips Hues lighting. I am also using those LED light pads.

Dining with Skellies is a fun table, featuring Grace Skelly.

We have these skellies who are graciously carrying the figs, grapes and apples.
Here she is, Grace Skelly, our guest of honor.

My plate stack consists of silver blingy placemats, followed by a white crown dinner plate, a black plate, then a silver and white plate plus the star, a beautiful gold skull. Silver goblets are perfect with this theme, along with our Mackenzie Childs flatware.

Grace Skelly has to be the center of attention, so she is seated right smack in the middle.

There's those  skellies again.  Poor things have worked themselves to the bone.
Grace Skelly seems to be having a good time.

I love these darling skeleton guys.  I first spotted them on Purple Chocolate Home and I knew I  had to have them, so off to Home Goods I went.

  2. Oh Linda I love your spooky dining guest! So creative! The skeletons available now add so much to the season. There's a home in our historic German Village area that has used those skeletons all around the outside of their house - sitting on the front porch having coffee, doing yard work, walking with a dog skelly. It's close to a historic restaurant in the village and gets lots of views. So clever and fun! Have a great spooky season Linda! Blessings, Edie Marie

  3. Linda, You always have the most wonderful lighting effects whether indoors or out! Grace Skelly {grins} has such style and grace. I love your blingy plate stack and silver goblets. I admired those hard-working skellies at HG toting those bowls and trays but passed them up. . . boo! Spooktacular pizza skulls to pair with your sweet smiling salad Jacks! As always it’s a treat to blog hop with you this week! Happy Haunting ☠️

  4. Grace Skelly, bahahaha! Linda, this is perfect in your dining room with all the LED lighting turned purple. I love Grace's eery video, and all her bony minions on the table make for fun serving. I can see the kid coming out in so many tables this season, and yours is one that would make for a great girls' night out. We'd all be cackling over all the details, so great!

  7. Oh Grace Skelly! She is such a perfect guest of honor for this eerily elegant dinner party. I have mad love for those silver goblets which are a perfect touch to your plate stack showcasing black and silver. I did not see the skelly fellas at Home Goods and I felt like I had looked at absolutely everything! Those jack o lantern salads are super fun for a Halloween dinner party.

  19. Linda, what an classy, enchanting Halloween table --- especially with the purple! And, you sure have made great use of the LED lighting. I have a Skeleton at the Feast table tomorrow, but my Mr. Bones isn't near as classy as your spooktacular gal. Otherwise, why is he bare bones, swinging from the chandelier instead of elegantly dressed and seated at your gorgeous table?

  28. Linda, Grace Skelly is fabulous! I love the video with the haunted house snow globe. Your purple lighting gives everything an eerie glow. You are so clever to put the salad in mini jack-o-lanterns. I may have to look for those skull pans at Target...my daughter would go crazy for the stuffed pizza. It would be a perfect meal before trick or treating. Thanks for the inspiration!
