Welcome friends to another fun tablescape blog hop! Many thanks to Rita from Panoply for organizing this summer Tablescape Blog Hop. If you are coming over from Mary's blog, Home is Where The Boat Is, I am sure you were thoroughly inspired with Mary's attention to details.
I chose to set a pretty mermaid table down by our pool. With the newly renovated pool, outdoor kitchen, added outdoor shower and palapa, we are ready to entertain.
By all means have fun and get inspired. The links from the other talented table stylists are at the bottom of this post.
Aqua is our color scheme for the pool area. This mermaid melamine dishes are perfect for summer entertaining. This lovely mermaid was a gift from my friend Jain who blogs at A Quiet Life. We were shopping together at Home Goods and Jain spotted this beautiful mermaid.
The pool is ready and so inviting.
We love the newly renovated palapa. We are waiting on our new ceiling fan with a light to arrive. My husband has decked out the palapa with LED lighting.
Seashells fill these vases nicely. I added a LED puck light for ambiance.

DeleteThank you, let me know 😉🤒
DeleteWell, I am completely blown away! That's stunning, Linda. And so perfect for your poolside setting. That shade of blue is my favorite (I'm wearing it now!) and it's just heaven!

ReplyDeleteAlways a pleasure to join you at your beautiful, creative tables, and a special pleasure to join you on this Summer Tablescape Hop.
Thank you Sarah. It feels good to have these projects finished. I hope we can relax for awhile. It is suppose to be in the 100's on Thursday.
DeleteLinda your table is lovely! You have done your new thatched palapa proud with your sweet mermaid themed tablescape. I love the dishes with their scallop or scale pattern on them and of course your sweet mermaid!
ReplyDeleteThanks Chloe, it was so fun to put together this table. The colors were perfect with our pool aqua theme. It’s a good thing we have a pool house. More storage for those dishes. Happy summer.
DeleteOh, Linda this is so pretty! Love all the sea blues and a touch of yellow in the plates. Your newly developed yard is the perfect setting for your choice of dishes. You must be happy to have all of the projects done in time for summer.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a good one :)
What a beautiful backdrop for an equally gorgeous summer table! The turquoise just pops right off the table and invites you sit down! That mermaid is such a fun find! Really lovely table Linda! You have really created a wonderful vision of a summer evening meal in paradise!
ReplyDeleteLovely!! If you find someone out there someday enjoying the pool and making herself very comfortable, just feed (me)...errr, HER and don't take any photos!!
ReplyDeleteSo relaxing! You have definitely created your own oasis down at the pool. Love the mermaid plates, and I might have to check Wayfair as "Mermaids" is my granddaughter's first birthday theme in August.
ReplyDeleteLinda, your total pool, palapa and table setting took my breath away when I first saw the photos on Facebook! How exciting to have all that work completed and now be able to really soak it all in. You need a mermaid tail/skirt now so you can literally embody your theme (I have a friend and her daughter who do! They swim in their mermaid skins!). I love the aqua color scheme and how you carried it through with the dishes, textiles (including your pool umbrella and rug). Your entire outdoor oasis is color coordinated and looks fabulous. I know you guys do your own work so this has me completely in awe. Congratulations on all your hard work! I just wish I wasn't 2,500 miles away so I could see it in person. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteLinda, what a sweet, whimsical name for a tablescape. Your new patio space is the perfect retreat for any outdoor activity. The plates and napkins are so pretty. Love the shells in the glass vases. Enjoy your beautiful palapa.
ReplyDeleteLinda, what a charming centerpiece to anchor your theme. Felt like I was at the beach. Enjoy your beautiful pool area.
ReplyDeleteLynne, Thrifting Wonderland
Sorry, again I'm late! Linda, what could be more perfect for this setting than mermaids, starfish, blues and aqua. You and Paul have built such a magical tropical paradise to enjoy in your back yard! I don't think I would ever leave this pool area, LOL! A perfect setting and I'm sure you are the perfect hostess for all guests invited to your home. Wishing you and Paul a wonderful summer. Loved all the photos, back for another stroll thru your paradise.........
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun, creative, beautiful table design, Linda! Your yard is just magical! But I know a lot of hard work went into making it so. Perfect setting for entertaining your lucky friends & family!
ReplyDeleteYou set such a beautiful mermaid themed table Linda. Every time I look at your pool area I feel like I'm on a tropical vacation! Enjoy the summer by the pool Linda.
ReplyDeleteLinda, it is beautiful!!! What a gorgeous paradise. You must feel as if you are on vacation constantly and that is a good thing..xxoJudy
ReplyDeleteLinda another beautiful table. Where do you store all of these dishes you share. Our house would explode. I have to say your backyard is like a vacation spot. I would never leave except if food or more cocktails were needed.
ReplyDeleteOh Linda, what a fabulous setting and color scheme for your mermaid theme table! It's like your own slice of paradise! I love EVERYthing from the rug under the table, the table and chairs/cushions, plates, goblets, and oh that marvelous mermaid figure! The new pillow covers couldn't be more perfect. If I were you, I'd spend every single minute in or around your pool! We're coming to CA for 10 days in Sept (Yosemite and nearby parks, Big Sur area, Pasa Robles, etc.) but none of our hotels will have near as enchanting a pool area.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful table, but I am always amazed at where you keep all of your dishes and other decor items that you style with.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, what a fun theme, Linda! You’re the best mermaid 🧜♀️ yourself! The pillowcases are fabulous, and the rug is so pretty, along with your dishes and all your accessories. I’d be thrilled to be a guest.
ReplyDeleteHello! I am coming from Nana Diana asking for help with Feedburner! Thank you!!!!
ReplyDeleteLinda, what a beautiful setting. I am so thrilled to see such a perfect beach theme/mermaid tablescape. I absolutely love your little mermaid your friend gave you as a gift. She is perfect for your setting and so whimsical. Your evening pictures really gives me the feeling that I am looking at a luxury hotel setting. It is a setting no one would want to leave. The lighting gives such a glow like that of being on a beach in the tropics. Certainly you captured what the word paradise means.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful table setting! I love those plates and the colors are just perfect for summer.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely tablescape, Linda. Love that mermaid centerpiece, and your night-time photo is just lovely. So happy to meet you through Tuesday Turn About! I'm delighted to be sharing you at Tuesday Turn About this week!
ReplyDeleteLinda, your yard is truly a tropical paradise! I've never heard of a palapa before. The giant umbrella made of natural materials is a showstopper! Your mermaid table setting is so fun and whimsical. I love the vibrant shades of blue and the glimpses of the pool in the background. What an amazing summer you're going to have...no need to leave home! It was fun to hop with you again!
