Love Is in The Air!

Welcome to the Valentine's Tablescape Blog Hop. I always enjoy seeing how everyone sets a fabulous table for this very special "Love"  holiday.  I want to thank  the lovely Rita from Panoply for organizing all of us for this fun filled Valentine Blog Hop.

Valentine's day is all about love. I thought Love is in the air would be a lovely theme. Hot air balloons with fresh flowers and hearts. I even added the token sand bags to each basket, decorated with kisses and hearts. No sand in these babies.

My Pier 1 Queen of Hearts is reigning over this table.

Red, black and white sets the mood for this particular table. A red rose runner sits on top of a black and white striped tablecloth.

White  heart shaped dinner plates sit on top of red square plate chargers followed by heart shaped salad  plates.
For party favors, each guests receives a glass red heart.
The red damask napkins are made into roses. Gotta love romance!

I created these hot air balloon with paper lanterns. I already had the two baskets which made perfect vessels for the look of the hot air balloon.  I decorated each basket with coordinating ribbon and fresh flowers.
Black and white straws cover the long wooden dowels. I attached white plastic bowls under each lantern and added small round LED puck lights.

The box I  already had I decorated with two dollar store signs that happen to match my chosen theme.  It's all about Love.

Here's few other Valentine tables I created with red, black and white.

  1. Good Morning Linda! I ADORE your hot air balloons that your created with dowels, straws and paper lanterns! SO clever and your baskets were the perfect choice for hot air balloon baskets. Adding the ‘sandbags’ to your hot balloon centerpiece is such a cute idea too! Your Queen of Hearts reigns supreme at your table and I love your plate stack with the heart shaped plates and pairing of black and white checks and stripes with your red. As always it’s a treat to join you at the table and hop with you. Happy Tuesday ♥

  2. So so so pretty Linda and so innovative.
You have such a talent for taking items and making them... not only work for your tables,... but they are adorable too. We lived in New Mexico several years ago and the Hot air balloon fiesta was always something to look forward too and your beautiful hot air balloons brought back fond memories. And your menu has me salivating already this morning. Thanks for always giving us new tablescaping ideas.
