A Poolside Hutch

Our new outdoor hutch my husband Paul built.

The top I painted in my paint shop to create the arch for the mermaid. I also painted the mermaid in to see how it would look. The hutch is 6 feet long.

I bought the mermaid on Etsy. I loved that she has aqua in her tail.  I had asked she be a blonde.
Here is a photo when it is being built before the tile and panels.

I love this hutch, perfect for accessorizing and buffets. The pineapple finals match the ones my husband added to the palm tree panels.

I appreciate my handy husband very much.

In 2020, we updated our outdoor kitchen.  It has the same marble looking porcelain tile as the hutch.

Still loving this wonderful mermaid Jain from A Quiet Life bought me. I hope to visit Jain soon and play in her gardens.

Gotta Have some aqua goblets and pitcher with shells.

My husband did a great job on this hutch.  It is more elegant with the marble looking tile.

A night time view of the new hutch.  Paul added some lighting so we would not be in the dark.

So the pool is renovated, we added a pool house, outdoor shower, renovated the outdoor kitchen, made over the palapa and now added a hutch.

Paul recently added palm leaf panels to the other side of the pool cabana.  Next he is building a gate. I will show that project at a later date.

  2. What an inviting poolside! I love the hutch -- it's a great piece. Pretty as a decor spot but I could also see it holding appetizers or drinks or extras for your dinners al fresco! Lovely, Linda.

  15. Your husband really knows what he's doing!!! That has got to be one of the best things ever to have a husband who goes beyond merely "handy." Mine can't screw in a light bulb.🙄 Right now he is on Day 2 of "fixing" the garbage disposal. God help us!!!!!!!!!!! He's a surgeon. He NEEDS all his fingers!!!😂😂😂

This is quite the oasis you have, and I like your choices that suit your personalized likes. Makes it all so much more lovely to relax and enjoy. I would LOVE to have an outdoor kitchen which would be oh-so-practical and appreciated in the hot summer months and during football season!!!
