With warmer temps, who doesn't enjoy a taste of the tropics? We have worked hard to get our pool area in shape for summer. New Additions make it fun. Thank you for joining me for this fun Summer Tablescape Blog Hop. Many thanks to the lovely Rita from Panoply for organizing us all. I hope you will be inspired with 23 tablescapes. The links are listed at the bottom of this post.
If you are coming over from Carol's blog - Bluesky at Home, I bid you a big welcome.
The tropical bird plates are so fun and colorful. I love this cute Toucan. I found a matching Toucan pillow case on Amazon.
I added these colorful leis on the back of each chair. We also had these chairs recently re-covered.
Rattan square chargers hold the plate stack. I am using different colored dinner plates and also added the Bordall Pinheriro cabbage salad plates. The menu is Chicken Teriyaki and white rice served in a pineapple shell. The starter is a bed of lettuce with a crab cake and vinaigrette. Dessert is Coconut Yum Yum.
I always enjoy dining under the palapa, complete with a fan and lights.
Flamingos fit in nicely with this tropical theme. Thanks you for visiting!

What a gorgeous trip to the tropics you've created Linda! The detail that goes into your tablescapes never ceases to amaze me! From the tropical fruit right down to the leis on the chairs. I had to share this with my daughter who has loved "pingo mingos" since she was 3. She's spent the morning browsing your site and is as much in love with your gorgeous home as I am! Thanks for all the inspiration you give to all of us! Have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteLove your tropical setting..So colorful..gorgeous..Have a happy day..
ReplyDeleteLinda, thank you for taking me on a virtual trip to the tropics! Although, I would so like to have a real seat at your table, poolside, dinning on your spectacular meal! You really go all out! When I went to DT they only had one toucan plate --- I wanted at least 3 to mix with last year's DT flamingo plates. You've inspired me to continue the hunt! Love how you expertly styled all the table details, including constructing that luscious centerpiece.
ReplyDeleteWhat guest wouldn't be thrilled to share in your tropical oasis and tablescape complementing it, Linda?! Lucky are the new neighbors. What a colorful display to transport, and the sound of the menu too. Love those plates and matching pillow slip you found, and the fruit, floral and shell centerpiece works great. Your chairs recovered look sharp. I dream of visiting your gardens and poolside one of these days. It truly is both a gardener's and, in summer, tropical paradise. Thanks for sharing it all, you & Paul have done a fabulous job continually upgrading. I'm so happy you're part of this hop to let others see it too.

ReplyDeleteLinda, I am in such a party mood after seeing your gorgeous table. You must put a lot of work into this beautiful backyard that you can enjoy all season long. (I wish Wisconsin would have more pleasant weather to enjoy the outdoors. It would be such a pleasure to entertain outside more frequently.) I really enjoy seeing all the color and patterns to your table. I truly feel like I am in tropical paradise. I was so attracted to your toucan plate stack and lovely matching pillow. And the chicken filled pineapple has me so hungry. Enjoy your fun and festive table with your yum yum dessert. Sounds delicious too. Enjoy the summer.
