On Saturday I hosted a flamingo party for the cloggers. I wanted a pink theme and the pink flamingos fit the theme perfectly. I already had the pink flamingo plates when I threw a birthday party for my mom a few years ago.
A pretty view of our pool adds to the ambiance.
Party favors - Flamingo gift bags filled with customized cherry chapstick and a custom flamingo cookie. I also made flip flop cookies. They are Nutter Butter cookies poured into a flip flop mold with pink candy melts and Sprinkle Pop sprinkles.
I made individual desserts too. I forgot to take pictures. Banana pudding, lemon dessert and Coconut Yum Yum. If you're not familiar with "Yum Yum," it's a very popular Southern layered dessert. It's typically layered with a shortbread-type or graham cracker crust, and a fruit or flavored filling sandwiched between two fluffy cream cheese/whipped cream layers. Feel free to visit Tracey's blog to see all of the yum yum desserts.
I found these darling little flamingo gift bag on Etsy.
