Shake Your Palm Palms

With it being so hot, I am swimming a lot. Our private pool area looks like a tropical resort with palm trees, aqua accents, flowers and a blue pool. I set another table under the palapa with a palm tree theme.

These palm plates I have had for years. I dressed them with rattan placemats, Chris Madden  chargers and American Atelier dinner plates.

I created the palm tree centerpiece with palm leaves from around our yard. I added two pineapples for the tropical feel.

Our palapa is a nice shade structure, complete with a ceiling fan and a light. Paul added LED lighting years ago for some nice ambiance. If you are interested, you can read about them at  Fun With LED Strip Lights

These submersible LED lights are a nice addition. Add them to your gardens, fish tank, and decor. You can read about them at Color My World

The bamboo flatware is from Horchow.  I bought them years ago.

This table is so handy for large dinner parties. It expands to accommodate lots of people. It was perfect for my mom's Birthday party in 2019. I do miss her very much.

How about a palm tree fruit salad?

I'll leave you with a night time shot of the table.

  2. Love the play of words and tabkescape, Linda. You have the perfect tropical setting. Love that flatware, and the fruit salad is clever. Our weather's calmed down a bit, with cooler mornings and less than 90 for about the past week. It's feeling like a true transition to fall.

  9. Love your tropical setting Linda. Your tables are always inspiring. I am going to use your banana palm tree salad for sure. It is so stinkin' cute. I remember the table for your Mom....it always hurts when we remember them but we also know that we loved them to the fullest while they were here. I have been getting in our pool but only the shallow end. The Captain is concerned I may have a problem in the deeper end. He is such a worry wort, but I'm glad he is cautious. Because our pool is enclosed in our courtyard, it is very private and I love that as I know you do yours too. thanks for sharing your lovely paradise. Kari @ Me and My Captain
