A Copper and Blue Pumpkin Table

Hello friends, time for another fabulous tablescape blog hop. It is organized by the lovely Rita from Panoply. Since Thanksgiving is around the corner, we are sharing
18 Thanksgiving tablescapes for your viewing pleasure.  I hope they inspire you.

The links are at the bottom of this post. I hope you visit each and everyone to see how they styled their Thanksgiving tables this year.

I set a tablescape with copper and blue pumpkins in our dining room. Not your traditional colors.  Sometimes it is fun to explore different color combinations. Blue and orange look fabulous together. As many of you know, I do like to dress my chandelier. I tucked in some greenery with some fall leaves and roses.  Little lanterns hang from the chandelier for added ambiance.  LED puck lights work with a remote and you can choose your colors.

I am using these wonderful orange check placemats to frame the stacked plates.
They are easy to clean and store.   Copper chargers sit on top with a with a white dinner plate. Next is the blue plates to tie the stack all together. The pumpkin plates are lovely with cream, blue and orange.

With the wood being so pretty, I chose to not use a tablecloth. I used two copper gourds surrounded by pumpkin wreaths at each end of the table.

This table was on my wish list for years.  A Marge Carson beauty.

I feel so thankful.

The floral centerpiece is removed from the table when it's time to dine.

For this photo I changed the placemat to a  metallic blue. Which do you prefer?
I also added fresh florals.

  1. Good Morning Linda, I love your color palette! Such a pretty plate stack and table with all your sparkling copper and shades of blue…the glass pumpkins, candlesticks and goblets. The mule mugs, flatware and chargers add such warmth along with your gourds flanking the ends of the table. I love your monogrammed napkins too. Your tablescapes always make such a statement, along with your accessorized chandy! As always, it’s a treat to join you at the table and hop with you. Happy Tuesday. ♥

  5. I love the complementary colors of blue and copper orange together! Linda, you've made a wonderful display of these colors on your Thanksgiving table, and I love reading the source list for how you did it. The monogrammed napkins caught my eye right away, as did the stack of plates themselves. I have those salad plates, and I think they're perfect for Thanksgiving. How you outfitted them together and with the placemats and blue stems mimics nature. Blue skies, orange leaves that remain, and the warmth of the wood table all feel very much like the season outside in many regions right now (including my own). I love both of your alternate center floral arrangements too (one faux, one real, right?). And if you didn't decorate your chandelier I'd have to ask if you hurt yourself so as you were unable! Those little lanterns are a sweet touch, as are the gourds with lights among them. Very pretty, Linda. Thank you for sharing your creativity!

  11. Linda, love your color combination and how you incorporated the blue shades --- especially the fabulous stemware! And, your chandy is gorgeous! I used blue for the first time in a Thanksgiving table and now think of it as a traditional color option. Happy Thanksgiving!

  13. Oh la la Linda, this is gorgeous! I adore the blue and orange and the copper is so perfect adding more shine and bling! The blue stemware really makes everything pop! Your chandy is dressed to the nines and love the little lanterns hanging from it. The copper gourds and pumpkin wreaths flanking each table end frame the table beautifully. I like seeing the pretty wood of your table and both place mats look good, I couldn't pick a favorite. You are all set for quite a Thanksgiving celebration!

  19. Linda your new table is gorgeous and I, too, enjoy letting the wood show through on some table settings. Makes for a warm and cozy Thanksgiving. AND I always look to see what you have done to your chandy...so clever of you. I think about it but usually only decorate mine at Christmas where I drape greenery and holly in and around the glass light covers...well, I haven't done it for years because of my past illness but perhaps I will get the energy this year. fingers crossed. love the orange and blue. Thanks for the little video...it shows off your lovely dining room. Happy Thanksgiving my friend.

  20. Oooooh, we do think alike, Linda! I love your take on the blue/copper combo! All the copper accents are gorgeous, particularly the mugs, flatware and chargers. I love the pumpkin plates -- so different to see ones with blue! I always admire the way you decorate the chandelier. I've tried a time or two but I haven't got your flare. I like the orange check placemats but I think I prefer the blue version -- it's a nice contrast with that gorgeous table of yours! Happy Thanksgiving!

  24. Oh, Linda! This is just amazing! Your home is absolutely gorgeous & your tablescape reminds me of what would be in an elegant castle. So graceful and yet so inviting and warm. I think I prefer the first blues over the metallic ones, but they are both so pretty. God bless you this autumn season!

  25. Wow!! Those blue pumpkins are just stunning. What a fantastic table...and I love the copper, as well. My husband just built me a copper pipe curtain rod for a bay window and we were going to paint it white, but now that it's up, I'm enjoying the warmth it brings to the room. I was on the fence about leaving it, but now that I see your beautiful table colors, I'm keeping it. For now at least!! Thanks!!

  34. Oh I just LOVE this table setting!! I try to incorporate lots of blue and greens in my fall décor since I have so much blue and green around in our house and I am finding that I love how the blue pops against all the orange, rust, and copper colors.

  36. Copper seems like a natural for Thanksgiving, and the blue goblets looks gorgeous - they really do "pop!"

  37. Lovely table scapes. We have two months before Thanksgiving. It seems that at this time of the year holidays get rushed. We should have Halloween first and then Thanksgiving and then Christmas … Time goes by fast enough without rushing it. On the other hand, everything looks beautiful! It will all have to be dusted before Thanksgiving lol.
