Paul and I were sitting in our living room after I decorated it for Christmas, and we thought what a gorgeous room. We never sit in there. There was a large unit for storage, but no tv. This room has tall ceilings, the foyer and you can also see the fireplace (Tulikivi) You see the upstairs landing as well.
Paul said we should replace the ceiling fans that were hanging in the foyer and landing. They weren't working well after years of use. I thought why not replace them with chandeliers. They were not located in a sitting area. So we did. You can see the new chandeliers further down the post. We also gave the Livingroom a makeover.
BEFORE
AFTER
New drapes, I removed the rug, and changed out the wall unit. We gave the black chairs to my daughter. I then added white throw pillows to go with the white, gold and silver Christmas decor. A softer look plus we now have a tv in the Livingroom.
The tree is decked out with deer, white owls, Golden crown and more.
A look from upstairs into the Livingroom.
Bella and Dante snuck into the photo. You can see the new chandelier in the foyer. If you look carefully, you can spot the second chandelier hanging in the landing.
Here they are waiting for Santa.
The foyer with the new chandelier. We have travertine mostly downstairs in a Versailles pattern.
Our new tv entertainment center. I actually found it on Facebook Market Place. It is beautiful and what a bargain. It accommodates a 55 inch tv. It has plenty of storage. We moved the other wall unit to the landing.
My favorite angel.
An old fashioned Santa sit on top of the wall unit.
Our family room fireplace decked out for Christmas. I hope you all are having a wonderful and merry holiday.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful..Love the "Chandy's"..I think most living rooms go unused these days especially if there is a Florida room or a family room..
ReplyDeleteOMGOSH, Linda. That is BEYOND beautiful! Absolutely gorgeous. I love how bright the room is and all the light that pours into that room. I have never seen a stove like that. What a thing of beauty AND practicality! My favorite, of course, is the two babies that decorate the room(s) with their presence. What would we do without our pups?! Happy Tuesday to you! xo Diana

ReplyDeleteWhat an exquisite makeover!!!!! The room looks larger AND lighter! So pretty! I've never heard of the soapstone fireplace. I would like to investigate that a bit further. Thinking it might make sense for us to invest in one on our lower level. It gets mighty chilly down there in winter! What we have now is nice, but this seems safer.
