Karens 75th Birthday Party

For my dear friend Karen, I wanted to create a special birthday since she is turning 75.
The theme is ballerina since she takes ballet lessons. I booked a private room at an upscale restaurant. There were 12 of us. The post is picture intensive, so be warned.

The ballerina gift bags were a Etsy find.  Vintage Style Ballerina Doll Toppers with Ruffled Tutus were added to my homemade Carrot Cake cupcakes.
Sorry the photos are not the best quality. It was a rainy day and the private room had low lighting.

I created a ballerina out of my dress form.  The gift bags, ballerina cupcakes and dress form made a lovely centerpiece.

The cake is carrot cake.  I had ordered these fondant ballet slippers for the top of the cake.

The ballerina cake stand I bought online.

I set the table with rose paper placemats and folded pink rose napkins. I bought a tiara for Karen.
I was happy to arrive at the restaurant early before my guests arrived.  It gave me time to set the table and the displays. Party planning is fun.  Sometimes it can be also stressful. Just ask my husband.😁

I created these lovely pretty paper plates online with Zazzle.

The vintage paper ballerinas made great cupcake toppers. Thank goodness for Etsy.

I put in a lot of planning for this special birthday party.

We started with a toast to Karen and her special guests.

Cheers!
June and I. June came a little early to help me set up.  She also took some of the photos.

Susan brought the bubbly Chandon to help celebrate Karen's special birthday.

Time for the birthday cake.  We sang happy birthday and Karen blew out her candles.

Make a wish Karen.

Karen received these lovely ballet slippers in pink.
Karen modeled the darling ballet slippers for us all.

Karen and Susan.
Each guest received a pink ballerina gift bag filled with the above items.

All in all, a beautiful birthday party for Karen.  Thanks to June and my husband, Paul for helping.
Many thanks to Susan for providing the Chandon champagne.  It was the icing on the cake.

All of Karen's guests made this birthday party very special with their presence. Thank you ladies.

May you have many more.

A video I created with some photos. You can watch it in the post or go to YouTube.

  20. What a fabulous way to turn the calendar!! This is absolutely lovely---all the coordination and the love that went into it, the happy guests honoring such a sweet friend, and a hostess who puts her ALL into every project. The decor, the venue, the time and interest it took to choose and curate all those beautiful ballet items, just for her---she will remember this as her BEST birthday of all. And that PINK---you already had ME at the Pink. (I'm the happy lady in green, down at the other end, enjoying everything). Scrumptious.
