A Coastal Tablescape- Poolside

I set a coastal tablescape under the palapa.  It is so easy to set a pretty coastal table.  White plates, some sea grass chargers and lots of sea shells.

It is going to be very hot again this weekend.  You will find me in the pool.

The sea shells are made for food, so a lovely appetizer would be great.  We love Ina Garten's crab cakes.

The palapa is a wonderful place to enjoy a meal, whether it's lunch or dinner. We entertained all of the grands the 4th of July weekend.
I always use acrylic glasses down by the pool.

Lots of sea shells for the centerpiece.  It is easy to get creative with them.  The lanterns are new. I filled the little containers with sand and more shells.

The pool area is so relaxing for entertaining.  Enjoy a nice meal and then take a swim.

Aren't these little lanterns the cutest?  They are from the dollar store, battery operated.
The hutch is all decked out with some mermaids, platters and lanterns.  I love changing up the look.
Stay tuned for a Summer On A Tray Blog tour on July 18th.

  2. What a fun, fun setting, Linda. I love the way it starts with the rug and chair cushions. You did a beautiful job and it would be fun to sit there and just enjoy the beauty of it all. The pool, of course, is the crowning touch to the setting. Have a wonderful day and enjoy your beautiful weather. We are supposed to get a bit of rain and I am praying we do. xo Diana

  5. This looks beautiful -- I love the shells, such a summery feeling. I can see why you are spending time in the pool. I wish you could send us a bit of that heat. We're in the 60s and I'm dying to swim -- but not in the 60s! I love Ina's recipes. They almost always work!

  13. Perfect for a sumptuous seafood dinner as the day begins to cool, and the candles twinkle as the sun wanes into evening. I think Aqua is your color, as pink is mine---California blue.

I am now decorating the Living Room in my "Under the Sea" theme for Late Summer and you have given me some inspiration!! I hope you are staying cool...My son and DIL just cam back from a vacation in Disneyland and my son's bald head was sunburned so bad that he had blisters that burst and peeled...YIKES!! He was not prepared for the Sun out there,,LOL!
