A Mexican Fiesta Dinner Party

Paul and I hosted a Mexican Fiesta dinner party Sunday night.  It was all set up around our copper round table and buffet station.  I decorated with Mexican fans and colortful pots. We invited Jain and Scott and two other couples. Jain and Scott have gorgeous gardens.  A Quiet Life Blog. Jain and I met online and discovered we live rather close to one another.

Paul made some Mexican Sangria, so tasty and full of fruit.  The colorful glasses i won on a giveaway years ago.
I used Mexican blankets for the table covering. Large aqua placemats hold the  terra  cotta saucers I used as chargers.

A Mexican table is full of color plus some fruit.  A fiesta in the  making.

Instead of flowers, I chose to use a fruit arrangement with oranges, lemons, pineapple and mangos.
Paul built this buffet years ago.  It makes for easy entertaining.  Our guests just help themselves.
I served vegetarian enchiladas, chicken fajitas,  Spanish rice, beans and street corn.

Dessert was Spanish flan and strawberry Tres leche in jars.

We have a lovely fountain next to the buffet.

Ole! A fun time was had by all.

These are the gorgeous flowers Jain brought for the Mexican fiesta.  Sunflowers, roses plus so many other varieties of lovely flowers. Jain has the most fabulous gardens. Check out her blog- A Quiet Garden Life.

  1. So colourful and bold. I like your thinking of using terracotta saucers as chargers. You must have infinite storage for all your decorations and accoutrements for your themed parties.

  4. Stunning as usual Linda. You are so artistic and I love your table. I did notice the food warmers on your buffet and smiled as I have the same ones purchased many many years ago on the Q. We have commented in the past at our similar likes from long ago. Mine still look brand new and just as shiny and I always receive compliments when I use them for large gatherings. Have a great and Blessed day.
