Hello friends, Paul and I recently entertained Jain A Quiet Life blog and Scott down by our pool. We gave them a little tour and then we had lunch under the palapa. It's been so hot lately, we started earlier. The palapa has a lovely fan to chase away the hot air.
If you haven’t visited Jain’s blog, please do, you are in for a treat! Her gardens are gorgeous.
I am using my floral arrangement I created from my watermelon Here. Don't waste those flowers. We started with some champagne and crab cakes with mango- peach salsa. I forgot to take photos. Paul grilled chicken and shrimp. I also served roasted cauliflower, potatoes and asparagus plus key lime pie.
Our pool area is so tropical, it makes sense to create a lovely tropical lunch. Rattan reminds me of the tropics along with the bamboo plates.
Jain snapped this phot of my hibiscus. Thankfully the squirrels haven't gotten to it yet.
Aqua mermaid in our pool house.
A mermaid I decked out with aqua marbles.A swimming mermaid in the pool house.
My handy husband built this darling mermaid towel rack. As you can tell, I have a lot of mermaids around our pool area.
I will be entertaining Jain and Scoot along with two other couples for a Mexican fiesta on July 30th.
