All week, the temps have been warm. Next week, cooler temps are expected. My husband has been busy getting ready for winter. He worked on our Tulikivi, covered the firewood and maintenance around the house.
In case, you don't know what a Tulikivi is, I will explain. Tulikivi is made from Finnish soapstone.
A stylish and efficient soapstone fireplace is an excellent choice for
both homes and holiday homes. Tulikivi fireplaces contain a large amount
of soapstone mass, and their advanced combustion technology means that
they can heat large spaces for a long time with just a small amount of
wood.
The warmth generated by a heat-retaining fireplace is soft, radiant
heat, which fills the room and does not burn the air or escape up to the
ceiling. You can even touch the stone without burning your hand.
Last week I shared my tiered tray for a blog tour.
Party Time!

We have and old soapstone woodstove we inherited when we built our house and even though it's in our basement it keeps most of our house nice and warm.
