Since it's October Awareness month for Breast Cancer, I decided to share a pink Boo-licious table for a dinner party. For the 31 days of Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM), pink ribbons appear as the impact of breast cancer is brought to the forefront of national conversation.
It's so important to get screened and to also share the awareness and importance. Many of my friends were diagnosed with breast cancer. You never know when cancer will strike.
I haven't had breast cancer, however I have survived 4 other types of cancer. Paying attention to your body is something all of us can do and also get screening.
My table is pink and black with cute ghosts. I started with this beautiful pink rosette tablecloth and added black glitter placemats. My Horchow Baroque dishware sits nicely on top.
This table has some same decor as my Happy Boo Tablescape. The Mackenzie Child's Black Tie flatware and the black tall goblets from ZGallerie. I kept the cute ghosts floating from my chandelier too. I also kept my trio of lit up ghosts on the table runner.
Cute little candy ghosts sit on the chocolate cupcakes.
I found these adorable pink ghost napkins at Amazon. I tied them with my pink rose napkin rings.
Light pink pumpkins flank my black pumpkin with the rose centerpiece.
I stopped by one of our neighbor's house @dutchdoorfarmroses to get a few rose bouquets. They have about 600 rose bushes in different varieties. Catherine created a bouquet of pink roses for my table.
The tall black candleholders holds pink candles that tie in with my Think Pink! theme. We have 4 ceiling lights that we can have Philips Hue lighting. We can change the colors in our dining room by using the Philips Hue app on my iPad. I chose the pink for a dramatic look.
Think Pink! Remember to pay attention to your bodies and get screened.

Boo-tiful!
ReplyDeleteWhen you wrote that you were going to do a pink Halloween table I thought, "Interesting-- how will that go?" Well, WOW! It goes VERY well indeed! I love the pink/white/black and the ghosty look. It just works perfectly. And then when you add the lighting there is a fun girly-gothic feel to it. This is a winner and a wonderful reason to do it!
ReplyDeleteYou did an amazing and fabulous job of intertwining the Breast Cancer Awareness theme along with your pretty "pink boo" tablescape, Linda! Thank You! My sister recently passed from breast cancer that had spread throughout her body. She never mentioned to me her cancer diagnose and suffered in silence until near the end when her caregiver told me what she was going through. By then, it was too late. And you are so right! We all need to pay attention to our bodies!
ReplyDeleteSpooky Beautiful Linda! The pink really pops against the black and white! Your lighting options are so cool, what a wow factor! Breast Cancer Awareness is so important, and you are spreading the word in such a creative and beautiful way~ The tablecloth is gorgeous, and I love the centerpiece of pink roses and pumpkins 💕

Wow Linda what a beautiful and fun table for Breast Cancer awareness! Love the tablecloth, centerpiece and the pink lights!
ReplyDeleteLinda, you decorated such a pretty pink table dedicated the breast cancer month. Congrats and hugs on being a cancer survivor. Have a nice weekend Linda.
ReplyDeleteVery cute tablescape with a very good message! I love how you could use much of what you already set for your previous tablescape.
ReplyDeleteI've been looking my eyes full of this PINK on this glorious October morning---so much of our decor upstairs is pink and I love the rusts and blacks interspersed with all the sweet pastel. This is absolutely the most care-taking, well-thought setting I've seen in a great while, with everything simply perfect to the occasion, AND THEN SOME, as my dear Mammaw used to say of anything so very charming and beautiful, and the work of talented hands.
ReplyDeleteMy love of pink is ever-growing, and this is one site I've marked to return when I need that comfortable plush of such a welcoming sight. The chandelier spectres, the ghost napkins, the pink roses all garbed in their black robe vases, and all the sweet touches of ghost and roses are simply stunning. AND HORCHOW!! I'd tried to remember that familiar old name not long ago---it was my GO TO catalog for many years for Christmas, and I lost track of my subscription when we moved North many years ago. A Horchow box in the unwrapping kindled many a HAPPY in my family back then, and I'll know where to look soon.
I'm just lost in the sumptuous pinks (I ordered six of the rose table-runners when I saw them in teal for Jacqueline's daughter's wedding years ago, and they are still part of our permanent decor). Two are still my favorite tree-skirt, and are in use right now. You just have a hand with the largesse and an eye for the interesting and lovely, and I'm just wallowing in the luscious glow, especially when the ghosts are in pink flight over the diners in that fabulous interchange of hues. This is my BEAUTIFUL for the week!!
Oh to be a guest at one of your parties and to see your magnificent table settings, Linda! This is so beautiful 💕
ReplyDeleteYour tables are always like a work of art! What a fun amalgamation of Halloween/ghosts and lots and lots of pretty pink.
