First of all I got my link party number mixed up last week. it should have been #244, Sorry about that. Easter is a week away. Any big plans? I am sure we will have a low key Easter dinner.
The weather has been lovely lately. We are expecting more rain this week. My husband cleaned out our waterfall. It was so full of leaves. I am ready to get outdoor and some some yard work and plantings.
Today is National Cheesesteak Day plus National Cocktail Day.
I make my own cheesesteak sandwiches at home. My husband is from New Jersey and loves Philly Cheesesteak. This recipe is so easy and you will love the flavors.
Yield: 6
Philly Cheesesteak
Mouth watering Philly Cheesesteak
prep time: cook time: total time:
ingredients:
- Sandwich rolls - sour-dough - french - your choice - toasted
- 1 chopped green pepper -
- 1 chopped onion
- Provolone Cheese slices
- 2 (ribeye steaks) thinly sliced
- seasoned salt
- pepper
- 2 Tablespoons butter
instructions:
How to cook Philly Cheesesteak
- Put 2 Tablespoons of butter in grill pan, melt and add onions and peppers, saute, or grill them on your BBQ. Add sliced ribeye steaks......shred them with your fingers or use a knife. I ask the butcher to slice the steaks paper thin. Add seasoned salt and pepper...cook or grill until brown. Set aside. Add 1 slice of provolone cheese to each toasted roll. Add steak mixture and then top off with another piece of cheese. Put in oven 350 for a few minutes to melt cheese. Feel free to experiment with different cheese. Some people like Cheese whiz or cheddar cheese. Enjoy!
Last week I shared my spring table with
The table was created with the lovely blue rosette tablecloth layered with the pink petal placemats, white charger and pink dinner plate. I added the Mackenzie Childs floral garden plates and topped them with the MKC wildflowers bunny dishes.
