Mothers Day Brunch

We dined alfresco on our back patio
I hosted a brunch for a few girlfriends and their husbands plus my son, Jason.  We dined alfresco on our back patio. My husband asked me did I want to work on Mother's Day.  I say sure, why not treat my family and friends to a lovely brunch.
Jain  @aquietgardenlife and Scott arrived with a beautiful bouquet of roses from her garden.

The buffet island my husband built is so handy for entertaining.  I don't know about you, but when I entertain, I have a difficult time trying to take photos before the guests arrive.  Sorry it doesn't look complete.
Our copper round table makes for a perfect setting so each guest can see each and chat.

Jain always insists on taking my photo. I try to get her to allow me to take her photo as well.

I set this table in purple and green.  The flatware is Napoleon Bee by Horchow. The plates have lavender on them, which is my table theme.
Blueberry french toast, a fruit platter my friend June brought.  stacked potatoes and 2 kinds of quiche.
I baked banana bread cakes for each guest to take home.

Jain graciously brought a pretty Princess Cake.  it was so pretty and decadent.
Our lovely fountain flanked by purple petunias.

A fun brunch for all.  Dining alfresco is so refreshing on a beautiful spring day.

How sweet and fun for all of you to celebrate at your beautiful back yard for Mom's Day El Fresco. The table is beautiful and the flowers that Jain brought from her garden are gorgeous. I have never heard of a princess cake. How beautiful. Have a great week. Big Hugs Kris @ Junk Chic Cottage
