Arabellas 90th Birthday Party

One of our clogging gals, Al celebrated her 90th birthday on the first day of autumn.  In her honor, I hosted an alfresco birthday luncheon on Saturday. There were 8 of us.   Diane, June and Karen were missed by all.  They had previous engagements and couldn't attend.

Since Arabella loves blue, I thought I would decorate the party with blue and orange as an accent. Since her birthday is on the first day of autumn, the orange and pumpkins fit in nicely with the theme.
Here's my guests seated at the table.

I chose to use Spode Blue Italian plates with white Pier 1 plate chargers. Navy placemats were seated under the plate stack and rust and blue napkins were held together with the cute blue and white napkin rings.

I had Paul help me with the table rod.  We decided to hang it upside down,  attached to a palapa post, so we could accommodate guests at each end of the table. I  decorated the rod with fall garlands and blue florals.
At each end of the rod, I added a balloon bouquet in different shades of blue, white and orange. I added two blue and white ginger jars and a lovely bouquet of fresh flowers from our local grocery store. I tucked in mini pumpkins in my floral arrangement.

Here's the birthday gal with her crown.
90 & Fabulous, that is Al.  Al still drives and dresses so cute and trendy.

Also many thanks to Jane Bailey for sharing the cost of the luncheon and to my clogger friends who shared their potluck dishes.

  12. The alfresco setting, combined with the thoughtful blue and orange fall-themed decor, truly made the occasion feel so special. The Spode Blue Italian plates are such a classic touch, and the way you incorporated mini pumpkins and fresh flowers into the design shows so much care and attention to detail. It’s heartwarming to see how much love went into every aspect, from the table setting to the delicious potluck dishes. Arabella looks radiant with her crown, and it’s inspiring that she’s still so active and fabulous at 90! Cheers to many more wonderful moments like this!
