Happy Halloween! Last night I hosted another dinner party with my husband, son and friends. I changed up the table with orange and purple. The floral arrangement sits in a real pumpkin with fresh market flowers. Just to be clear, the food doesn't not go on the table. It is served buffet style.
Some photos look blue, however it is purple. Love the glass pumpkins that light up from Ross.
The plate stack sits on a glitter tablecloth with dollar store pumpkin placemats, sparkly chargers, black dinner plates, orange pumpkin plates and a purple compote for homemade Tiramisu.
A very colorful table to celebrate Halloween
Each place setting has a cute purple and orange party favor filled with Lindt chocolates.
I want to give my husband Paul credit for wrapping each of my white battery charged candles with orange electrical tape to match the table decor.
Jain from A Quiet Life Blog brought some gorgeous flowers from her gardens. Thank you Jain. It was a fun party. I was so tired from cooking and prepping, I slept in this morning. I plan on relaxing today.
Have a safe and happy Halloween.

So festive and colorful Linda! I love the purple tablecloth for contrast and foundation for your table to pair with your purple stemware and compotes. Genius to dress up your candles with orange electrical tape, kudos to Paul. Jain’s flowers are always gorgeous! Happy Halloween 🎃

ReplyDeleteThank you Diana. I sure hope my guests love coming to my dinner parties. It’s a lot of work, it so worth it. Happy Halloween. Xo
DeleteI love how you mix the dollar store mats with the more elegant pieces and they all work so beautifully together. You're right about those pumpkins -- very pretty. And I love the purple/orange combo.
ReplyDeleteEverything looks fab as usual, of course! So clever to put the autumnal fresh flowers into a real pumpkin as the vase! Those light-up glass pumpkins are to die for. And your Lindt chocolate party favours reminded me that I have some Lindt dark chocolate in the cupboard that I must go and eat now!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tablecloth, however there is too much decorations and stuff on the table, little room for food.
ReplyDeleteLinda, you have had some amazing parties in October. You must be exhausted. I love your blooming pumpkin and your festive table. Happy November!
ReplyDeleteThe happy faces say it all.I would be exhausted..Have not hosted friends in yrs..Only my family..
ReplyDeleteSo colorful and festive! Love the pumpkin filled with flowers and how smart of Paul to wrap the candles in orange electrical tape. You are the hostess with the mostess! I know everyone had a wonderful time, you always think of everything, the party favors are so cute.

ReplyDeleteI love the color combo of orange and purple. What a festive table and I love that Paul decorated the candles. I bet everyone had a great time. Happy November Linda.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful, Linda! That pumpkin in the middle reminds me of Cinderella's coach. I think with all your talent for entertaining and decorating, not to mention cooking and baking, you should open a restaurant!! I'm sure it'd be booked every night!!
ReplyDeleteAnother wonderful fun evening at your house! You are always over the top, from decor to food, just need you to stop hostessing and start drinking and let Paul take over so you can enjoy all YOUR FUN! I need to train you to train him 😉 Thanks so much for including Terry, it was fun showing her all your rooms decorated for the season. You really put 100% of your time and energy into making any visit to your house an immersive experience! Thanks for including us 🙏
ReplyDeleteYou certainly deserved to sleep in, lovely Linda. This table looked so colorful and fun. Paul does deserve credit for wrapping your candles. To be a guest a one of your parties would be the utmost joy!
ReplyDeleteThis was one of my favorite Halloweens. I was able to finish my cabinet painting work early, which allowed me to spend more of the day with family and friends. Looking forward to Thanksgiving.
