A rich Pintuck red tablecloth is my starting point followed by a black web lace table runner. I added black plate chargers with bat wing placemats. The plate stack consists of Parchment Red by Mikasa and topped with these little bat plates and a custom vampire cookie I ordered online from Etsy.
Dracula takes center stage with his very own coffin. Two candeliers are dazzling on each side with battery candles. I also added the bat candle holders to complete my theme.

They were even accused of spreading the plague in the Middle Ages.
Vampirism flourished in European folklore in the eighteenth century, and
in the nineteenth century vampires were blamed for another disease:
tuberculosis. Vampires became emblematic of Gothic and grotesque

Spooktacular table Linda! I love the whimsy of the bat wing placemats paired with the elegance of your Parchment Red dinnerware. You’re the hostess with the mostest and didn’t miss a detail from the cookies or coffin /candy party favors. I love your use of the gothic window shower curtain hanging over your French doors too! 🦇⚰️🧛

ReplyDeleteThank you for another incredible tablescape!
Linda, what a blast! This is so cool, with all the details you put together. I saw your little video on FB and loved it, the music was perfect. I thought the plate had the teeth incorporated into the bat, so reading that those are cookies blew my mind! Great favors, and that Gothic curtain fabulous. We went to our Ballet's production of "Dracula - the Seduction" (an originally choreographed piece), and it gave all the vibes of the lore of Dracula. Dark Shadows was my favorite daytime soap back in the day.
ReplyDeleteSuper creative as usual, Linda! The napkin rings are genius. I bet everyone had a ball!! Every night my husband and I read a chapter of Dracula to each other. When we're done we should have a themed dinner and use your table as the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteLinda, you know how to throw a fun and spooky party. I love the Gothic shower curtain, it adds the perfect drama to your table. I remember watching Dark Shadows years and years ago. Great job, Linda and I know your guests loved every fabulous detail!
