Kim from Exquisively Unremarkable also posted in the Facebook group, Bloggers on Blogspot the same issue. I had asked her to also add to my post on the community forum the problem.
I received another response this morning.
I am hoping in a matter of a few days, we all can reply to our commenters emails.It is a nice feature to be able thank our readers and also reply back to them. Let's hope this issue will be resolved.

Also, make sure your email address is added on your Blogger profile, so people can respond to you.
To edit your blogger profile, go.to Settings on your blogger dashboard. Scroll down to the very bottom under General, click edit Profile.
Under Edit User Profile, make sure your blogger is added and also a checkmark- Show my email address.
Then scroll down to the bottom and click Save Profile.
If aren't receiving commenter's emails, then you must add your email address in Your Blogger dashboard's Settings under Email.
You will receive an email that looks like this below from Blogger.
Click Subscribe.
Once you click subscribe, you will receive something like this, You are all set to receive email notification when people comment on your blog.
Sign up with your email address to receive the latest updates straight in your inbox.
Only comment here, I hope it isn't like other sites, when you accept communication, you get a notification of every comment made on that blog. I'm surprised you got a response since so much has been taken away since I started blogging on blogger almost 10 years. Thanks for the info---I will watch for these issues. Sandi

ReplyDeleteThanks for doing this and contacting them. Every time we get comfortable with blogger they switch something up. I usually would just take the no reply and delete it on my reply and add in there email in my contacts which was a lot of work. So I hope this will be fixed. Have a great rest of the week. Hugs. Kris

ReplyDeleteThank you for reaching out. I thought it was just a glitch on my blog (again)...lol. I have many of the addresses stored for past blog vistors but not all of them. It just takes so much work to have to dig up each name if you want to reply to a comment. Hopefully, this will be fixed soon! Thanks for all you do for the blogging community. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteLinda you are amazing! I'm so glad they answered you and I'm glad I added my comment to your Blogger Help Forum post. Ours were the only two comments there and look how quickly they responded!! Imagine if we had more people voice their frustrations. I think Blogger is alive and well and we just need to speak up as a community when we have issues, because clearly, they are listening!! I'm going to share your post!! Thanks again!!
