Happy Thanksgiving week.

Almost thanksgiving time. I have decided to buy a Thanksgiving dinner from Cracker Barrel this year.  I talked to a girlfriend who had ordered one before and she said it was good. The family isn't coming, so we invited Jain and Scott to join Paul, my son Jason and I. This is the first time I am not cooking.
I will let you know how it is. Everything is cooked, you just re-heat.

The Kitchen is My Playground - Creamy Pumpkin Cheesecake
Kitty's Kozy Kitchen - Pumpkin Scones
3 Boys and a Dog - Grinch Crack

I love all of the inspiration. It is difficult to pick the features, because we have so many wonderful posts. There is so much creativity out there. Thank you friends for sharing your lovely posts. Feel free to use this featured button.

  2. Thanks so much for the party, Linda! I remember the year it was only my husband and I and our youngest daughter and then my brother-in-law and his wife. We typically had 20+ for dinner so this was a small group. I ordered the turkey, mashed potatoes and pie from Whole Foods and then only made the dishes my family loved (the dressing and veggie dishes). It was so freeing, so easy and no turkey clean up which was huge! Wishing you and your family a blessed Thanksgiving!

  5. Thank you so much Linda! Your Thanksgiving plans sounds lovely, you deserve a vacation from cooking, as you have been having so many incredible parties this Fall! I'm sure the food from Cracker Barrel will be wonderful. It's so nice you've gotten to be such close friends with Jain and Scott. I have several friends that I have met through blogging that I see regularly and have become some of my best friends too. Happy Thanksgiving!

  9. Good for you, Linda! My gf has bought from Bob Evans before (much like CB if you don't have that chain). She honestly said it was a lot of work just heating up all the many dishes. I still think it's better than doing all the cooking too. Enjoy your Thanksgiving. I'm sure with good company it should be a good time. That's what really matters.
